The Space

Beautifully renovated with original yellow pine floors, slate tile kitchen and bath, decorative fireplaces, full bed and full futon. Up-and-coming part of town, close to artists, popular neighborhoods (Boulevard and Pulaski) the Chase Street Warehouses and 1000 Faces Coffee roaster

Guest Access

One room is closed off (my office), otherwise the house is yours. Feel free to use the kitchen (plates and cookware, french press, plenty of room for too many chefs)! High speed internet, internet tv.

Interaction with Guests

I will do my best to greet you on your arrival and show you around the house. I can provide you information about the area and even show you around if you like. The neighbors are friendly, even if they look funny. I will likely be available and in town if any problems arise. I prefer to leave you to enjoy your vacation in peace and privacy.

The Neighborhood

This is a neighborhood where children still play on the street. The neighborhood is becoming heavily gentrified, it is a mix of families that have been here for years, young professionals and college students. It is a little funny and has its quirks, but it is safe, walkable, bikeable and truly a unique neighborhood in Athens.

Getting Around

We are right next to a bus route, you can walk to downtown, we are close to the loop which gives you driving access into out of and around town.

Other Things to Note

I compost and recycle. If you are not comfortable with it, can not be bothered or will have a large trash burden, we can talk!

House Rules

I am a young professional and expect guests to enjoy themselves responsibly. Please treat the house like it was your own. There are some things that are fragile (like the stove) and there are some hazards (slippery stairs). You can drink, have a get together with guests (we have had 15 or more people at our house at one time). While I clean the sheets and do the detail work, please do your best to clean up after yourself before your departure.

It's not fun to come home to mess, so please do not rent if you can not contain your excitement, your hostility or your vomit.
