Newly renovated 100 year-old home. Great location, near Pulaski and Downtown. Walk, bike or drive in this safe neighborhood. Beautiful interior, hardwood & slate. Fast Internet, ample parking. Great for football games or a weekend on the town!
Beautifully renovated with original yellow pine floors, slate tile kitchen and bath, decorative fireplaces, full bed and full futon. Up-and-coming part of town, close to artists, popular neighborhoods (Boulevard and Pulaski) the Chase Street Warehouses and 1000 Faces Coffee roaster
One room is closed off (my office), otherwise the house is yours. Feel free to use the kitchen (plates and cookware, french press, plenty of room for too many chefs)! High speed internet, internet tv.
Interaction with Guests
I will do my best to greet you on your arrival and show you around the house. I can provide you information about the area and even show you around if you like. The neighbors are friendly, even if they look funny. I will likely be available and in town if any problems arise. I prefer to leave you to enjoy your vacation in peace and privacy.
This is a neighborhood where children still play on the street. The neighborhood is becoming heavily gentrified, it is a mix of families that have been here for years, young professionals and college students. It is a little funny and has its quirks, but it is safe, walkable, bikeable and truly a unique neighborhood in Athens.
We are right next to a bus route, you can walk to downtown, we are close to the loop which gives you driving access into out of and around town.
Other Things to Note
I compost and recycle. If you are not comfortable with it, can not be bothered or will have a large trash burden, we can talk!
I am a young professional and expect guests to enjoy themselves responsibly. Please treat the house like it was your own. There are some things that are fragile (like the stove) and there are some hazards (slippery stairs). You can drink, have a get together with guests (we have had 15 or more people at our house at one time). While I clean the sheets and do the detail work, please do your best to clean up after yourself before your departure.
It's not fun to come home to mess, so please do not rent if you can not contain your excitement, your hostility or your vomit.
Checking in with Jason was a breeze. He responded quickly to messages, met me at the house, and was super friendly. The house is very cute, as pictured, and has a fun front porch to hang out on. It was a huge plus to be able to bring our dog. Jason had coffee and breakfast food on the kitchen counter for us and was very accommodating.
Perfect location, perfect puppy love, perfect host, perfect Christmas eve!
I can't even begin to describe the feeling of welcome. We were 7 hrs late to check in but there was still champagne, breakfast foods, and a warm home to greet us. All the family that visited for the holiday loved the place, so charming and historic. You can tell jason loves this house. It's in the absolute best location for Athens. You can walk everywhere, and may I urge you to walk your booty on down to 1000 Faces coffee (400ft from the house!). My pups even felt welcome (which is NOT often! 50lb mutt, 104lb pit bull, and 65lb pit bull) the home was so soft in energy but so sturdy and rugged for the pups, and they loved the grain free treats!
Jason was available literally whenever I needed him....literally...it was Christmas lol
Perfect AirBnb host!
It was an all around great experience. The house was as described and exceeded my expectations. It was clean and comfortable with a great kitchen(we cooked a thanksgiving meal there).
Jason was courteous and checked in via email during our stay to make sure we were doing okay in the house.
I would stay there again.
Everything went flawlessly -- the place was exactly as described and Jason was extremely helpful and easy to work with throughout.
The cabin was perfect for us! We work for Terrapin Beer Co. And it was right down the street! The host was accommodating and allowed us to bring our dog. The cabin was cute and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at Jason's place! Jason met us when we arrived, and left us some goodies for breakfast. He made himself available for questions anytime during our stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. We walked to downtown, which took us about 20 minutes but was an easy and safe route. I would definitely recommend!
Jason was great and his house was perfect. It was almost halfway exactly between Terrapin Brewery and downtown. Not too far for a walk - about 20 minutes. Great stay!!
