I can help with any reccomendations on restaurants, sites, clubs, hikes, biking, etc... Born in SF and very knowledegable about the city and surrounding areas. Happy to help in any way I can.
Potrero Hill is one of the most charming neighborhoods in the city. It has great views of downtown, ample free parking and is the best weather in SF. It is small and secluded with no chain restaurants, shops or cafes. All the businesses are locally owned and quite good.
The muni bus is just a step away and takes you to BART or anywhere else in the city. The light rail to AT&T Park and the Embarcadero is a 15 min walk.
We can't emphasize enough how great the location is and the warmth and coziness of our home.

My friends and I stayed at Jim's place for a little bit over a week. It was a great apartment with plenty of space for the three of us. It's in a very nice neighborhood near some great restaurants and right outside of the bus stop which gets in to the city in about 20 minutes. I'd highly recommend staying here!
The place was exactly as represented. We enjoyed it and wish to commend Jim for his prompt response to a water heater failure. Could have happened anywhere but he took care of it immediately, the hot water was restored within a very short time! Thank you Jim. We will be back. The location is perfect for easy access, the neighborhood is quite and Whole Foods around the corner is a huge plus. We had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.
Jim's apartment is so cozy and wonderful! We had a lovely and carefree stay. It's located in an ideal part of Potrero Hill, close to shops and restaurants. Jim was great to deal with and we'll be back for sure!
My family and I had a wonderful time in Jim's apartment in Potrero Hill. The apartment itself was enormous, beautifully renovated while keeping many original features. The pictures don't do it justice! Jim was a thoughtful host, sending a sheet of detailed house information and listing local shops and restaurants. He immediately sent them again when I had problems opening it on my phone upon arrival! He also brought us a bottle of wine. I would highly recommend this gorgeous home located in the cleanest cutest little neighborhood to anyone!
The one floor, two bedroom place is perfect. Great kitchen and dining room...and a relaxing living room. Better yet, it is surrounded by several amazing restaurants. We ate very well!
Jim was a great host and sent us very good instructions on the things we needed to know about the house and the area. There is easy access to two public bus lines. The house has generally clean with plenty of space, especially in the master bedroom. The dishes, pots, and pans in the kitchen had a little bit of greasy residue on them so we just had to wash them before using....no big deal. The neighborhood has a few nice restaurants, a great view of the City skyline, and relatively easy parking by SF standards.
Really enjoyed staying in this place. I found the apartment to have everything my family and I needed during our stay. Potrero Hill is a great place to stay near a few great restaurants. This was our first experience on air bnb and must say that it was pain free and overall very positive.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The location was perfect, Free street parking and buses to market all the time. The apartment had some big pluses, great hard wood floors and a nice dinning and kitchen area. Washer and dryer worked great and there is an amazing view from the sliding glass door. The downside was dirty and very worn sheets and spreads; we had to wash everything before we could use them. The throw rugs and carpets in the bedroom need major cleaning and a new sofa is in order. The master bathroom has a pedestal sink which was loose, but the shower was fine. If you are light sleeper, understand that every foot step above you can be heard. If you are a sound sleeper, this would not be an issue. The area is safe and you happen to be doors down from the best pizza I have had on the west coast, Goat Hill. Very nice place and tons of other shops in the area. I do think Potrero Hill is the best kept secret in SF and will stay in this area on my next trip.
Thank you! Great experience for my family. Clean and warm home in quiet neighborhood. Close to variety of great restaurants, park, and Whole Foods. We loved it... I felt like buying a home in the area!
