Enjoy your stay at this spacious private room in pre-war building across from Prospect Park! Brooklyn Botanical Garden/Brooklyn Museum are within walking distance as well.
We'll share kitchen and bathroom space but you'll have this room all to yourself. The kitchen is well equipped with all kinds of spices for your use!
The building has mix of families and young professionals and always quiet in common area, so would ask the guests to be respectful to the neighbors.
Lefferts Garden is residential neighborhood with so much diversity of people and it is 15 minutes subway ride to Manhattan, Prospect Park train station on B/Q line is the 4th subway stop in Brooklyn. The apartment is 5 minutes walk from the train station.
There are multiple grocery stores, cafes, restaurants and wine store along the train station and surrounding street.
The room is spacious and airy, with free wifi, AC and laundry space in the building.
It was amazing !!
Keiko was a very good hostes: very pleasant, polite and very respectful to the privacy.
The building is old but clean and well maintained with laundry machines in the builiding ($1.50 each for wash and dry).
The apartment is very clean and nicely decorated, and the location is good: few blocks away from a subway station.
Just a couple of observations: 1) because of the heating system in the building, when outside it is very cold (-10°C), the room could be warmer; 2) be prepared for the noise from the trains, it can be pretty noisy.
Keiko was a great hostess. Not only did she provide a spacious private room with all one needs for winter in NY (blankets and heating system) but also recommendations of restaurants and whereabouts in Brooklyn and Manhattan, sheets, towels and dishes. She recommended a great japanese restaurant a few subway stations away from her apartment and it was delicious!
Her apartment is cozy, clean, nicely decorated and if you are interested in staying in Brooklyn, it's a perfect location; it's right in front of Prospect Park and a few blocks away from a subway station.
The building is old but clean and well maintained. I did not do my laundry because of my flight schedule, however Keiko informed me that there is a room with laundry machines in the building.
This was my first Airbnb experience and I definitely recommend Keiko's apartment if you're thinking about staying in Brooklyn. Keiko is very nice and always willing to help out!
Keiko hosted me for two weeks while my apartment was undergoing repairs. She was a great hostess, giving me a home away from home. The guest room is spacious with windows and light. Be prepared for the noise from the trains, and you'll enjoy your stay in the neighborhood.
This was my first Airbnb experience and Keiko was a very good host.
Although my English is poor, she is always ready to give me good place in New York. His apartment is great, the neighborhood is quiet and cool. It takes 20 min to go Manhattan is really fast.
I absolutely recommend Keiko for your trip to New York.
I truly enjoyed my stay at Keiko's apartment! Keiko was extremely accommodating, providing me with my own set of sheets, towels, and dishes. The room was huge, spotless, and cleverly decorated (the same goes for the rest of the apartment). The building is also very clean and well maintained, literally across the street from Prospect Park. I would love to stay with Keiko again. Thank you!
Keiko is a very attentive and helpful host; on few occasions, I casually mentioned places I wish to visit and she will send me the transport details etc.
The location is excellent, about half hour by train to downtown, and its just less than 100 steps from metro station! I like staying away from town - often get seats to-and-fro as I avoid the peak hours. There are 2 convenient stores next to train station and the apartment is next to a church; I feel safe in the neighourhood.
Being close to tracks, there are regular train passing noise. It was not a problem for me as I was able to sleep without my headset.
My boyfriend and I stayed with Keiko for two weeks and it was fantastic! Keiko is the most lovely, considerate host. When we arrived, she had towels, ear plugs, laundry detergent and even umbrellas for us - she had thought of everything! The apartment itself is lovely and SO clean. We got a large room to ourselves and full use of the kitchen. The location is nice - it is right next to a park and a short walk from the subway station. Since it's so close to the subway, it can get pretty noisy when a train goes past - but I guess background noise is to be expected in NY. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay with Keiko and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Brooklyn.
A very nice stay at Keiko's. Her apartment is in a very nice old building on Ocean Avenue, a great location in Lefferts Garden (and literally across the street from Prospect Park). Our room was spacious and colorful, Keiko was a great hostess who personally met us as we arrived. She made sure we had everything we needed, including Wifi and coffee. Altogether a great bargain in Brooklyn.
