The Shepherd's House on the Hill is a serene retreat on our 775-acre regenerative, working farm. Built in 1890, this charming farmhouse blends historic character with modern comforts for a relaxing stay.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city as you enjoy picturesque landscapes and fresh air.

Rejuvenate your spirit in this tranquil setting, whether you’re curling up with a book on the kitchen porch, strolling through pastures, gathering around the fire pit, or knitting in the fiber room.

The space
The Shepherd's House on the Hill is a secluded 1890 farmhouse on a half-paved, half-gravel road. The house is surrounded on all sides by our pastures.

The house has one bedroom on the main floor with a living room, bathroom, and kitchen.
Upstairs, you'll find two smaller bedrooms and a small desk nook for any business you might need to conduct while on your stay.

The main bedroom is a king-size, Amish-made walnut bed and has its own heat source.

The bathroom is nothing fancy since it was added on much later than the house was built so it's a small room cut off from the kitchen and living room. That's how they did it back then!

The bathroom has a shower, a fiberglass soaking tub, and an on-demand water heater. A commode and pedestal sink complete the room.

The kitchen is spacious, featuring propane logs and a large dining table. A large porch is accessed through the kitchen or from the ground floor.

The upstairs bedrooms are typical of late 1800s farmhouses, with low ceilings and smaller footprints, but the full or double beds are comfortable, and the sheets are of good quality. You'll find a plethora of good-quality pillows to ensure a good night's sleep, no matter which pillow you require.

The living room has beautiful 1-inch walnut floors, which is why we don't allow pets! A comfy couch, armchair, and rocker provide plenty of room around the tv or just snuggling up with a book.

The house is secured with a keypad deadbolt lock. Airbnb will send you the code by text message to get in before you arrive.
