Matti's home was very lovely. He communicated in a timely fashion and the house was easy to find. Matti provided clear instructions for getting inside and there were no troubles. The house was very lovely with lots of space and room for everyone. Great vicinity to groceries, park, and other attractions. I would stay again, it was a perfect location!
We were greeted by Matti at the house in we reserved. He was warm and inviting, we felt right at home. He gave us a rundown of what the property was used for in the past, and the work he has done to it thus far. My family that came into town stayed with us, and we couldn't have asked for a better space for all of us. We had 6 people total and a small dog. We used all of the bedrooms - the beds were comfortable and the linens were clean and nice. The kitchen had all of the pots, pans, and utensils we needed to make a couple of side dishes for Thanksgiving. We will definitely be looking to book the same property in the future.
This is our first Airbnb experience, and it exceeded our expectations!
House was GREAT. Matti made a perfect recommendation on a local bourbon distillery to check out. The house had the perfect amount of space for our group, and its location (walking distance to Commonwealth Stadium) was perfect. Thanks Matti!
We had a great stay at Matti's, and we also took his tour of the Bourbon Trail, which was fun and easy. Matti was very accommodating and met us on arrival. Everything was clean and ready for us--beds, laundry, wifi etc. He stayed in touch and gave us good recommendations, but we also found a lot of good places within walking distance. As for the distillery tours, Matti made an itinerary for us and was our designated driver from 9am-11pm (we really appreciate it). It went very smoothly, but he even had a back-up plan in case some of the tours were fully booked. Overall, everything was just as described, and the rough edges described in a couple earlier reviews seem to have been ironed out. Many thanks for a great weekend!
This is a nice sized property on a quiet street very close UK. The yard is a chill place to relax and the local cats are very friendly. Matti is a great host and knows all the cool stuff going on in town.
Neighborhood seems to be on the edge of an area that is rebuilding. Neighborhood and the outside of the house is run down. Once inside the house, it is better than the outside looks but not as clean as expected. The kitchen was great for cooking and appreciate how stocked it was with pans, utensils and etc.
Thanks for staying! Actually Lexington is experiencing a surge of roadwork and improvements that are great. Rebuilding isn't exactly the correct term since the neighborhood and surrounding areas have always been very nice, more of an upgrade to support the thriving community.
