About This Listing
Our loft is a spacious, cozy and quiet space for your next stay in Pittsburgh, located in the South side slopes just minutes from all the action on Carson Street and downtown attractions.
The top floor (3rd level) of our quirky, 1910-built house is an open loft space, with a new queen memory foam mattress. We also have a twin size air mattress that can be made up for additional guests. Plenty of windows and natural light. We have central air conditioning and a window unit to keep it cool during the hottest Pittsburgh summer months. There is no door in the loft, just a private staircase off the living room that only you will be using.
We are located on the South Side slopes, a 5-minute drive to to East Carson Street (famous for the nightlife, bars, restaurants, shops, tattoo parlors), or for adventurous travelers, it's a 2-mile downhill walk through the historic South Side neighborhood. The 48 Arlington bus stops at the end of our street and will also take you straight to Carson Street or downtown business district. Easy access to other Pittsburgh neighborhoods (Mt. Washington, Allentown, Mt. Oliver, Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, Oakland, Cultural District, Homestead, South Hills). We live on a quiet, dead-end street with plenty of free street parking. Only sounds you'll hear are the birds and the neighborhood kids playing.
Couch in communal living room is big enough for two people to comfortably stretch out on. The living room includes a TV, PS3 and access to our Netflix account.
We have a front porch with comfy wicker furniture, and a back deck which is home to a container garden and patio table and chairs. Great for summertime dining. We have a small backyard with garden, fire pit with plenty of firewood if you'd like to have an evening bonfire, and tiki torches.
Includes use of all amenities in the house, including living room TV with Netflix and AppleTV, WiFi internet, record player, and washer/dryer at no extra charge. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need for self-catering, including all appliances, tea kettle, french press, toaster, blender, juicer, food processor, microwave and dishwasher. Complimentary coffee and tea also available.
Bathroom is on the first level of the house and is shared with us. Note loft is on the third floor and bathroom is on the first (they are fairly short staircases) - Please take into consideration before booking if you have any issues with stairs.
We work weekdays - Monday through Friday we leave the house at 7:30 a.m. and return between 5-6 p.m - but we are around on the weekends to show you around, or if you'd like to explore independently, we can point you in the right direction and send you on your way.
Our space is perfect for students and budget-conscious travelers looking for affordable, cozy and welcoming accommodations with easygoing, flexible hosts who are passionate about travel and hospitality!
Guests have access to all rooms of the house and outdoor spaces.

Both Elizabeth and Warren are absolutely wonderful people and great hosts. They are very attentive, respectful and easy going in every respect. We had a delightful conversation with Warren during breakfast just before leaving their place and that was the highlight of our stay.
The room is exactly as advertised and shown of the photograph. The location was easy to find and it's a few minutes drive from good restaurants (just ask Warren or Elizabeth where to go). The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean…could not have ask for more.
Thank you Elizabeth and Warren for being wonderful hosts and for making our stay a memorable experience.
Elizabeth and Warren made us feel at home straight away. Their cosy attic was an ideal place to stay on our road trip. They were very helpful in helping us find our way in to town. They even gave us some Zuchini cake for our long travel the next day... Yum!
About the Host, Elizabeth And Warren
We are two transplants from Chicago to Pittsburgh. We enjoy travel, exploring other cultures and languages, books, film, meeting new people and having conversation over beer, wine, coffee, or tea. We love nature, hiking, camping, and backpacking. We are new to Airbnb, but Liz has been a member of other hospitality communities for some years; she stayed with many wonderful hosts while traveling in Europe and loves the culture of hospitality that it fosters over the comparatively dull alternative of staying in hotels. Liz practices yoga, gardening, cooking, and has an eclectic taste in music. Warren is into video games, sci-fi and fantasy novels, classic rock, and does brilliant voices and impressions.
