The Space

lovely studios with 2 beds ( sleeps up to 4) kichenette, TV, cable, internet, great Caribbean view, terrace. Price per room. Also have master suites with two rooms for up to 8 pax
The condo is beachfront with incredible Caribbean view, a super beach you can walk for miles on. A short walk up the beach is a fantastic snorkeling area too. We are only 15 minutes from airport, as well as the road that leads either south, to explore the Riviera Maya, Tulum and Coba, or to the toll road that takes you to Chichen Itza , Valladolid and Merida. If you do not want to rent a car, buses run all the time and tours are available for excursions.
Cancun has fantastic restaurants for all tastes and budgets, plus we have one right on site that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as two small convienence stores for the basics, if you prefer to cook.
I am here daily and would be happy to give you more info, make reservations or book trips for you.

  • We had a great stay, the pool is great and the beach was fantastic. There was a small problem with the wifi which Carmen promptly came personally to resolve on a Sunday, great host.

  • I just got back from Cancun where my friend & I had the most amazing, relaxing stay at Carmen's condo. She herself is a very lovely, interesting & warm lady who was happy to help us at the drop of a hat- she recommended some restaurants, booked a taxi to the airport & a horseback riding tour. I honestly can't wait to travel & stay at Cancun Plaza Condominio again!
The condomnio is in a fantastic location - (email hidden)-, pretty quiet and secluded from the typical crazy 'spring break' type of Cancun. It is right on the beach and rooms are facing the Caribbean Sea, so you fall asleep and wake up to the view and sounds of the ocean. The condo had a kitchenette with a mini stove, and even a blender for smoothies- so fantastic! There's an infinity pool and a bar/ restaurant in the 'courtyard' in addition to laundry center and 2 convenience shops, so technically you don't need to leave the premises for anything. If you need to leave, there are buses that run along the hotel zone- every few minutes- super fun and uber -convenient. The only thing that you might have trouble with is wifi connection- we did not have a ton of luck working it, but Carmen was gracious enough to let us use her connection. Anyways- you shouldn't need internet while at the beach. We truly had THE BEST stay- Thank you Carmen!

  • This was wonderful and made more so by Carmen herself. The condo was tired looking but with Carmen's help, little things were fixed and replaced and it became a home away from home for two months. The location is as advertised...right ON the beach. The condo staff are all friendly and helpful even though I had to use sign language sometimes. The onsite convenience stores offered enough to get by on for a couple of days until you made the bus trek to a supermarket. The pool is great, the grounds well maintained and the property clean.

  • Carmen remembered my request for a great ocean view and gave me a room that was just that. She does manage quite a few units in the building (which were all listed together when I booked), so you aren't sure which one you get until you arrive. The property is a bit old, but has a nice location on the beach and the cleaning staff works very hard keeping the common areas clean.

The listing was quite affordable by Cancun standards, however wasn't as well prepared as I would have hoped. Bedroom lights didn't work, shower rack was broken, and towels had stains on them. She did respond quickly to our requests though. There are also some rust on the drawers handles and fridge, probably best covered up for future guests.

As for what she wrote about the broken glass on the table: we left the place without any damages. Carmen said she wasn't available that day, so we couldn't do a walk-out check. The maid and repair man have keys to the condo (both worked on the place while I was there), so could they have caused the damage? Not sure, but would like airbnb to arbitrate.

  • We stayed for only one night at the beach condo in Cancun. I have mixed feelings about the experience.

The good: There are laundry facilities on-site, which was a major bonus for me since I had been traveling for a while. Carmen was very helpful, and even offered some of her laundry soap so I didn't have to buy some for just one load. There is a nice view of the beach from the condo, and a nice pool in the complex. The food that I had in the restaurant was pretty good.

The not-so-good: The condo itself was not well-maintained. The door handle on the sliding balcony door was falling off. The TV could not be plugged in. Apparently it used to plug into an electrical outlet on the wall that had been capped off. The stove was old and falling apart/unusable. I also had to jiggle the door handle on the front door quite a bit each time to get it to lock.

Overall, we enjoyed staying on the beach but feel like more attention should have been given to the maintenance of the condo. I mentioned this to Carmen, and she seemed genuinely interested to get my input in order to speak to the condo owner about repairs.

We had a great time staying there.

  • This is a great apartment, with the pool and ocean view. Just a few steps you can just reach the beach and there are not many people in this area. We enjoy our experience here and the host and the staff are very kind, and they offer advice to me whenever we needed. And the last day when we were about to check out, I asked if I can checked out a little bit late because our flight was in the late afternoon, they agreed, which made us feel very warm. In the expensive hotel zone, this is (email hidden) to live.

  • Carmen was there when we arrived and was very helpful. The condo was roomy and had a great view of the ocean. Taking the bus into town is easy and cheap.
