  • Amen and Marco were fantastic hosts. Communication was very detailed and clear. Marco picked us up from Termini station in his car which saved us having to walk with our suitcases. The apartment is very spacious and well appointed and there are great places for food, coffee and drinks nearby. Termini station is only a few minutes walk away which made getting around easy.

  • This is was my wife and I's first experience with AirBnb and we couldn't be more pleased. The apartment was very cute and just what we needed for our brief stay in Rome. The location was great with close proximity to Termini train station, and great neighborhood restaurants and cafes (with wifi access). It was a little loud on Saturday evening, but after that the neighborhood was pretty peaceful.

In the lead up to our stay Amen was great and provided us with detailed instructions to get us from the airport to the train station to meet Marco. Marco was very accommodating and picked us up at the train station even through we arrived very late in the evening. This was a great introduction to AirBnb and we should definitely stay at Amen's apartment again.

  • Great apartment, very clean, and located in an awesome, down-to-earth, student-centric neighborhood. It is very close the main train station (Termini) and also has a good bus line a couple of blocks away. The neighborhood (San Lorenzo) gives you a great chance to experience local Rome life away from the tourists. There are great restaurants nearby (try Formula 1, Pizzeria Sanlollo, and La Mucca Bischera). But keep in mind all of the classic Roman attractions will be a 15-minute bus ride away.

Definitely bring earplugs since the neighborhood has many bars and folks are out and about until very late at night (and the garbage trucks are very loud in the early mornings). The host was very nice and accommodating -- he brought us two fans when we requested them because it is very warm in the apartment during summer (and has no A/C). The host also left us a local mobile phone in case we needed to get in touch with him so that we wouldn't waste money on a call -- very nice!

The only big drawback for us was not having internet access. The host provides the network password (email hidden) network nearby but the connection is very bad and intermittent. And there is no access to open, unlocked networks anywhere in the apartment.

  • Amens apartment is really great, very clean and comfortable.
The area is perfect. San Lorenzo is a hip neighbourhood with lots of bars and cheap good restaurants. Opposite the apartment is the great “Bar Marani” for breakfast and my favorite Restaurant was the “Osteria Jenny a San Lorenzo”.
I can recomend Amens apartment and will come back if I stay in Rome again.

  • This flat is to recommend! It´s neat and clean and supplies you with all you need. The surrounding Lorenzo quarter is one with life given by all the students from the nearby university, and also is very domestic, since you will not meet very much tourists there, which can be very refreshing after a long day in Rom´s center. The Lorenzo quarter is though situated central, 10 minutes walk from Termini central station. The wardens (we met Marco) are very friendly. You are picked up at Termini station. You can call them whenever you are in need for more supplies. That´s what I would call a very good service! :-)

  • My mother and me had a great time staying at this apartment. It is conveniently located in walking distance from Termini train station. In the flat, everything is in a very good condition. We also enjoyed the neighboring bars and restaurants, which are frequented by a nice mix of people. Friday evening the streets were especially populated by younger folk (probably mostly students). A bit up the street is a market where you can get fresh fruits, and two blocks away is a bakery serving wonderful cappuccino and croissant to start your day. Our host were extremely friendly; when we arrived with our luggage, they picked us up from the train station, and they sent me something I had forgotten in the flat when leaving.

Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!

  • We absolutely loved staying in this cute apartment in Rome. It was exactly like the photos - a big bedroom and great kitchen. It was very close to the train station, which made traveling around Rome very easy. Marco left us a phone for emergencies and thought of little things to make our stay more comfortable - like an umbrella. There is some noise in the street at night, but closing the windows blocks most of it out. Great places to eat nearby. Would recommend this apartment to others in a heartbeat.
