Location:
At 5th district of Paris (75005) Rive Gauche (known to be chic & safe). It is located 20m from closest subway/metro (Line 7 Place Monge), And further surrounded by 2 other subway stations at 10mins walk. Easy access by public transport. Walking distance from: Sorbonne, Odeon, River Seine, Notre Dame, Garden of Luxembourg, Jardin des Plantes, Bastille...
Close to the livest neighbour of St. Germain...
Very convenient to go to Champs Elysee, Eiffel Tower, Opera, Vendrome Place....
With 10 min walk to River Seine, you can get on 'Batobus' (meaning boat bus) which is a very authentic and affordable way to visit Paris by riding the river up and down...

Furnitures, Equipments & Comfort Expectation:
This is a bright & comfortable studio. Very spacious for two and comfortable for four. Equipped with two REAL BEDs (190x140 with brand new mattress), a convertible sofa bed.
So capacity max out with 4 adults + 1 child.
TV, Wifi, Heating, WC, shower....
Kitchenette is equipped with all basic ingredients like salt, jam & tea etc. Appliances include Nespresso machine and electric rice-cooker for Asian guest upon request.
There is also hair dryer and towels in the apartment.

Access & Convenience:
Easy to access on ground floor with no stairs/obstacle to climb. (unlike many roof top flat on the 6th floor in Paris where you need to escalade with your bags or lift went out of order...?!) View on trees & garden. Many cafes and resto nearby. Safe and lively neighbour with 2 times Parisian traditional open market per week, children playground & park within 2 mins walk. Friendly area for jogging as facing park and near river. Walking distance to Gare de Lyon i.e. easily connect you to all other French towns and cities like Porte de Versailles, Lyon, Avignon. Surrounded by other bus lines, and trains and speedily access to airport.

Special History:
If you are visiting Paris for the first time / looking for authentic Paris, here is the place to be as it is the BEGINNING of Paris. It is the first & oldest district of Paris built by the Romans back in the 1st century BC. Back then, it was a town called Lutetia (now you know the former name of Paris before Paris is called Paris today). Given the historical flavour of this district, today, you can still see the roman remains called Arènes de Lutèce ( a Coliseum, yes, there was one in Paris just like there is one in Rome) And by staying with me, you can go there every day for free to admire the origin of Paris which is just right across the street.

Host:

  • The flat was perfect for three ladies visiting for a weekend in Paris. The location is fantastic, right across from a metro entrance to take you anywhere in Paris, as well as good amenities close by, without being on a busy street so quite quiet for a central location. Great communication from the owner, which made our stay hassle-free. Would stay there again!

  • Tiny little flat in my favorite section of Paris. Elias was very responsive to our questions. The flat is clean and tres petite but the beds were comfortable. Great value and great access to a sweet neighborhood & the metro.

  • Perfect location- very close to the metro and in a lovely area. Flat was very clean and tidy. Definitely a cosy flat but we had 4 people sharing quite happily! Elias made the journey to the apartment very easy- no problems at all! Thanks Elias!

  • We never met or actually talked to our host except by email. On the plus side: there was a nice view of the park out the window & the neighborhood was centrally located & very quiet. We also had a metro close to the house that got us everywhere. We had plenty of room and the beds were comfortable.

When we arrived our host was unable to meet us so he left us a key. Unfortunately, try as we may, we couldn’t get it to work as the design was one we have never seen or used. My traveling partner has been in real estate for over 30 yrs & had never seen a key like this in the US. When we found someone down the street to help us & call him it went into his voice-mail. Fortunately, that person was English-speaking and looked at the key and showed us how to use it. We are single women, late 60’s, and this whole experience was very scary.

The apartment looked nothing like the posting on the website. It had very tall ceilings, chalk white & only a small picture next to the bed. There was a 4’ child’s sofa/sleeper that was 6” off the ground and lumpy and uncomfortable, as were the chairs: not “cozy” at all. For the entire week we had only one trash bag, one kitchen towel, one bath towel, and a couple of used sponges. The pillows had no pillowcases so we couldn’t use them. How much can a kitchen towel or trash bag cost? While we had plenty of dishes there was only one saucepan to cook with.

    Response from Elias:

Ooo, sounds like a problem of asking. There were plenty of bags and clothes underneath the sink. The kitchenette is small so only limited utensils can be put there. My photos are TRUELY authentic as they are taken by Airbnb photographer. There was never painting as I like simple nature clean living style so not sure where do you get those elaborated ideas. Sorry that it is summer now so very hot to have wooden chair with mousse cover. I am surprised that you use the 2nd bed without permission and of course there is no bedding (pillow case) on. Quite some misunderstandings here I suppose. But all the best to your trip anyway.

  • Elias was very helpful with booking, communication and leaving a key for us.
The location was just as I had expected, great!
There was a folder with tips and advice on the locale.
The kitchen was well equipped with glasses, plates cutlery etc. etc. had generous supplies of coffee etc. which was great, but only one saucepan. The shower is tiny. Beds were very comfortable. We were three people staying here, that was enough for this sized apartment (I think).

  • If you need a place to sleep in a good location then this is the place for you. It is very small. The bathroom is tiny and there isn't a lot of privacy. The beds were nice and cozy.

  • The reservation was canceled 31 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Location is good. The apartment was clean and roomy! The best part was how organized Elias was. He even had a nice folder full of information and maps of Paris. I would return to this place next time I'm in Paris!

  • This apartment is fabulous! Literally across the street from the metro, a grocery store down the street, boulangerie on the corner. Close to rue Mouffetard and Latin Quarter. The apartment is secure, clean, and had everything you need. The shower is a little small for tall people, but we made it work. There is a coffee maker, tea kettle and mini fridge. We were so happy there and felt like Parisians for a few days. Elias was in constant contact with us, answering all out questions. Couldn't have asked for a better host!
