Enjoy a stay in our home in 1 of our 3 good sized bedrooms, you are well placed to explore the area around or simply relax and enjoy the stunning views,
if you don't wish to drive there are restaurants within walking distance
Maison Rouma is in a special place being beside the River at puy l'eveque, from the terrace you can enjoy the stunning views of the Medieval town, which was built on the river side and rises up to the centre of the town. Inside the house there is a sitting room for the use of guests, and a dining room where meals are taken if the weather is inclement. There are 3 guest rooms, on the 1st floor is a large room 'The Blue Room' with double bed, single bed, and a sofa-bed making it ideal for a family, it has its own bathroom although not en-suite, there are 2 more rooms on the next floor Nikki's Room which has a double bed and Henry's Room which has twin beds and a sofa-bed, these both have en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast is normally served on the terrace where you can enjoy the views, otherwise it is in the dining room. As it is a Medieval town there are many little streets to explore the town. There are a number of restaurants in the town but there are many more within an easy drive, there are some shops and a small supermarket in the town, but there are more shops and supermarkets a short drive away.there is a market here every Tuesday, and you will find one in a village nearby on a different day, Cahors the main town in the lot, has a large, good market every Wednesday and
Saturday it is a town well worth a visit, there is a lot of history, shops, restaurants, in the season boat trips, so something for everyone, the other thing that should be considered is 1 or 2 of the bastide towns these are built on the top of a hill and are spectacular, Mantpazier, and Penned'agenais to name just 2. If you enjoy walking there are many lovely ones you can go on, whether you are looking for a gentle stroll or something more challenging you are bound to find something to suit. This is also in the middle of the Cahors wine country, so many vineyards to visit and wines to taste - if you wish - and all within an easy drive - some even a walk away
The uniqueness of this property comes principally I feel from its amazing view
There is a sitting room guests may use, and in the good weather a terrace and garden to enjoy.
Interaction with Guests
As we live here I am here to welcome guests and I am happy converse with them during breakfast - or not - in other words if people want interaction we are here
the ancient town,it's not a busy one but you should walk through the little streets and make your way to the top where you get a wonderful view, looking down the river. I also like the fact that you have some great walks from here
It is possible to be here without a car, although obviously, a lot easier with one, there is a bus service in the town which will take you to Libos in 1 direction where you can catch a train to Agen and elsewhere, and in the other direction to Prayssac the next town about 5km or on to Cahors which is about 30 kms. and a very pretty journey.

Stay here and you could give this host their first review!
We spent a number of years living in Asia, and Australia, went back to England for some years and then decided we needed a new challenge, so we came to this house to start a B&B where we have been living for nearly 15 years, it is always interesting meeting new people from different countries, and listening to their stories. I love to cook we love Asian and many other types of cuisine, I also like to go on walks with my friends as it is a real pleasure, the countryside is so beautiful come and see for yourself.
