Our place is close to Purgatory Ski Area (4 miles) & Durango, CO (20 miles), offering hiking, biking, skiing, 4-wheeling and other activities. You’ll love our place because of the quality, spacious house and the ranch feel on 14 acres of aspen/fir forested ground. Our place is good for couples, families (with kids), and big groups. All outbuildings (historic barn, outdoor shower house, pavilion) are seasonal except the outdoor sauna and hot tub which are available year round.

The space
Once at the house, we have a binder that details internet use, security system, stereo system, area attractions and other site aspects. We feature an "outdoor" shower house, a sauna house, and a 16' bar, shuffleboard, foosball in the barn ). We also feature an outdoor movie theater with surround sound on the side of the barn, as well as a 32'x72' pavilion that has pickle ball and a theater system. Sadly, our historic cabin (circa 1880s) is no longer available for rent. All outbuildings are seasonal except the outdoor sauna and hot tub which are available year round.

Guest access
Guests can access the house, hot tub and outdoor sauna year round. Guests can access the barn, pavilion, outdoor shower house and other buildings seasonally (summer/fall) . Sadly, the historic cabin is no longer available to the public.

Erin grew up in Durango, as did her mother, since her grandfather was a settler in the area in the late 1800s. In 1982 she graduated with a petroleum engineering degree from Colorado School of Mines, and then was married at the Irma J Ranch October 1986 to a SD native and School of Mines graduate. They found their way to Alaska in 1989, but re-established ties to the area when they purchased the Irma J Ranch October 2012.
