About This Listing
This spacious studio, situated on the edge of Nob Hill, couldn't be more perfect for a short or long term stay. It is literally minutes from Union Square and easily accessible to MUNI bus transportation and the BART. Though outfitted with a simple decor, this studio houses all the amenities you'll need to have a comfortable and productive stay because of it's strategic location.
This studio has a one bedroom feel as the kitchen and bathroom are all contained in their own separate rooms. The kitchen has the basic utensils: pots, pans, baking sheets, toaster, blender, microwave, basic condiments, etc, with a lot of outlets. Laundry is located in the basement and is CHEAP: $1.50 to wash/$1.25 to dry, so no trudging laundry bags up and down the street. Since we're located in the front of the building, you'll hear some noise from the locals, cars, buses, and trucks, and animated conversations with your very own show as you see people hustling and bustling past the huge picture window, adding to the charm of this place. This is definitely the place for those used to urban living. However, you'll be surprised how "secluded" you'll feel as we're kind of in the corner of the building and don't share walls with anyone. We don't have cable (sorry folks) but we do have wireless and an adapter to hook your laptop up to the T.V. so you can stream whatever shows you want.
The neighborhood is home to quaint cafes, restaurants of all cuisines (Japanese, Indian, Italian, Chinese, and even a store that carries Halal and Arab food), theaters, art galleries, and the symphony within a 15 min walk. For those who want to go out, Polk street has bars galore. Trader Joe's is less than a 10min walk away, and with the 2 and 3 bus stop right across the street, you'll have access to Japantown, Fillmore St (known for its jazz bars), and Ocean Beach. On Polk (3 blocks away) runs the 19 bus to Fisherman's Wharf, and just down the corner the 27 bus, which runs to Powell Station and the Mission (Salsa dancing anyone?). Walk 3 1/2 blocks to Mason and Geary to catch the 30 or 45 bus which go within a couple of blocks of At&T Park (Go Giants!!!) and pass the Caltrain if you want to go to Mountain View, Palo Alto, or any other city in Silicon Valley. All in all, you'll find the city at your fingertips. Come and see what makes SF the gem of the West Coast!!
Keep everything neat and tidy. If you make a mess, clean it up. You should leave the apartment as you found it. Please refrain from smoking or participating in activity that would bother the neighbors, especially the Building Manger who lives on site. Take out trash regularly to the basement where you'll find trash and recycle bins. If anyone asks, please state that you are friends of mine visiting from out of town. Please, under no circumstances, mention you are staying through Airbnb.
Jackie's place was just....Perfection!
Jackie was kind enough to wait for me as i had a delayed fight to check in and she had the most relaxing smelling candle waiting to ease my irritation and Jet-lag :oD
Jackie's apartment was super clean with extra clean bedding, sheets, towels, soaps and some nice consumables to aide my small snacking
Super organized with maps, posted notes with local suggestions....
Location is freaking fantastic and as i got to know San Fran more i realised this rental is located at the center of almost every major SF attraction...in walking distance....which was even more than i could have asked for
Neighborhood was a lil hilly but full of lovely tourists / locals with no signs of trouble / hassle
Honestly, i couldn't have picked a better rental if i tried any harder..and Jackie is just so cool it felt like i stayed at a friends place that I've know for years
Jackie is such a polite, well mannered and beautiful lady...i really could not have asked for anything better
If you're ever in London Jackie look me up....you're a star!
Oh and lastly Jackie has one of San Francisco's best burger joints right behind her block (2min walk) Pearl's Deluxe Burgers.....i mean c'mon now.....this was just too good to be true XD

Our stay at Jackie's was really good.
Jackie has been fantastic at communicating & guiding us through the city when we arrived (BART was on strike). The flat is very conveniently placed to access Union square, Polk Street, Golden Gate Park. It is a bit noisy at night but ear plugs do the job & a nice bottle of wine helps :)

About the Host, Jackie
My passion is traveling and discovering what's out in this great, big, beautiful world. I've had my share of ups and downs but have met some brilliant and heartwarming people along the way. That's what makes it all worth it at the end of the day. I truly have been blessed.
