About this listing
This is the perfect home base for travelers looking for the sights + sounds downtown or the award-winning tastes of East Nashville, two of Nashville's best tourist hotspots. One of our two listed rooms, this listing is perfect for traveling couples.
Our 3 bedroom/2.5 bath two-story home is on a corner-lot in East Nashville. Other homes may claim to be close to downtown, but we're less than 5 minute drive from downtown, 5 minute drive from East Nashville's best restaurants, and 2 minute drive from interstate access. It's the perfect launching point for experiencing any part of the city.
This listing is for our main guest room - a cozy, full-size bed with a down sleeping pad for extra comfort. For guests staying more than one night, there's plenty of open closet and drawer space to store your things. The 4 piece guest bath is across the hall.
Guests have shared access to the entire downstairs area (living room, reading nook, dining table, kitchen, washer/dryer, powder room) as well as the deck patio, grill, and backyard. Upstairs, the room is exclusively yours. The bathroom is only shared with guests staying our secondary guest room (also listed on Airbnb).
Our two dogs, Sophia and Rimshot, mostly roam downstairs or in our room. They are not allowed in your guest room or bathroom...unless, of course, you invite them in. They can be quite the snugglers.
Interaction with Guests
Our schedules don't always allow us to meet our guests, so our check-in and checkout procedure are designed to get you in and out without our help. We love getting to know our guests when we're home, but we'll respect your privacy if that's what you prefer.
TOO MANY recommendations to list here - check out our listing's guidebook for some of our favorites.
East Nashville is a perfect combination of creative expression and proud local culture. It's cheap enough for the most aspiring (broke) of the creatives to live, and the restaurants and shops are the beneficiary of its residents' drive, passion, and style.
But right next door is Nashville's bread and butter - country music. Downtown is home to honky-tonk, with the Broadway strip overflowing with bars and live music nightly. Top it off with throwbacks to the greats at the Country Music Hall of Fame and the newly opened Johnny Cash Museum, and downtown is a well-rounded musician's dream.
Nashville MTA runs a route off Dickerson Pike, one block from our house. Their website has extensive details on destinations and route times.
Uber, a locally-driven cab service (no pun intended...) has great rates and quick turnaround times. Check out the mobile phone app.
For the trekkers on foot, the heart of downtown (5th and Broadway) is a straight shot 25-30 minute walk. East Nashville is a bit more spread out, and there are still uninviting blocks sprinkled throughout the area. We recommend walking in pairs/groups during the day and vehicular transportation after sunset as a precautionary measure.
Other Things to Note
We recommend using our filtered water in the fridge instead of the tap. Bring your own groceries and cook in our kitchen or grill on the deck if you'd like. All we ask is you clean up after yourself.
Please message us your approximate check-in and check-out times to show that you have read and understand the check-in/checkout procedures listed in the house manual (sent after confirming a reservation.)

We loved the house which is in a great location. No one was home but everything was arranged & ready when we arrived with helpful communication from host. The house is beautifully decorated and the room is cosy & clean. We enjoyed meeting their 2 lovely dogs before we left and would recommend this place for sure. We hope to come back and stay again!
Lovely home, cozy bed/room - very easy to come and go as I pleased. Their dogs are super friendly and adorable!
I would definitely book this place again.
Location was great - minutes to downtown. Hosts took good care of me. House is very clean and well maintained. If you're a dog lover they have to of them who will love you up! Excellent choice. Thanks!
Stephen and Cassidy's place was the perfect spot to stay in Nashville. The house was super clean and well decorated. Stephen was out of town but Cassidy was really sweet and accommodating. We made best friends with their dogs Sophia and Remy as soon as we walked in the door. The house is located minutes away from everything I was looking to do so it made it very convenient for my first trip there. I would definitely stay with them again!
We really like the lovely place and lovely host!Everything is wonderful:) We also like their two beautiful and cute dogs!;)
This place was amazing! It was my first time using Airbnb, and I couldn't have picked a better one!
Cassidy greeted us when we arrived in Nashville (along with Sophia and Rimmi. We fell in love with the dogs - they were so friendly and sweet). She gave us a tour of the house and made us feel right at home. The room was adorable and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The whole house was welcoming and incredibly cute. The house was also incredibly close to downtown Nashville, which was great for going out at night!
We loved how friendly Cassidy was, and she gladly answered any questions we had about Nashville or additional recommendations. She even made us brownies, and encouraged us to take them with us when we left.
I would say that Stephen and Cassidy's place is one of the best in Nashville, and we will certainly be back to visit!

About the Host, Stephen
Hey! We are Stephen and Cassidy Lynch - newlyweds as of Sept 15, 2012. We're native to Louisiana, but we've called Nashville our home since January 2011. As a traveling musician and wedding photographer, we find ourselves on the road quite a bit. We think the best hosts are the ones that make the space feel like home, and that's certainly what we look for/try to provide in our own space.
