The apartment is located in the Bella Vista neighborhood of Panama City, convenient to almost everywhere.
Super centrally located and walkable to almost everything. Very close walking gets you to the good super market(Riba Smith), restaurants, the good hardware store(Novey), the Cinta Costera, the discotec & bar street(Calle Uruguay), the casino area with more restaurants(Via Veneto) and the banking area.
A 20 minute walk and you get to the Seafood Market. 10 more minutes and you are in Casco Viejo. Also, taxis are readilly available, so you don't have to walk in the heat!
The kitchen is fully equipped and it has a washing machine and lots of hot water. You'll have a comfortable bed, and plenty of extra towels and sheets, one split A/C unit and one window A/C, and a balcony with a beautiful view, There are ceiling fans throughout.
Sorry, I don't have a TV. Wireless Internet is by way of a USB drive.
The reviews you see below are for a studio apartment I rent in Austin, Texas.
Great place for a couple to stay on a visit to Austin. We will rent from Missy again.
The space is really nice - great floors, wonderful light, and very private. The shower is amazing and beautifully tiled, the bed is adequate. Location-wise it is directly between UT and downtown which was perfect for my needs. Missy was extremely responsive when I had some initial unexpected health issues which I appreciated.
There are some great places within blocks - Dive bar has a good happy hour on Monday, Clay Pit has good Indian food, The Jalopy has an amazing Vegan Thai sandwich, Dog & Duck is a fun pub...the kitchen was complete though so I actually cooked nearly every meal during my 2 1/2 month stay.
The only minor issue I have with the listing is that the bike that was offered in the photos is not really available to guests as promised which was a bit of a disappointment. Otherwise, It was a great place to stay. Definitely 5 stars! It was my first Airbnb experience and it will be tough to beat.
This is a great area, Missy is a great host and this place is very nice and close to everything..
Missy was super friendly and her place is awesome. It's perfect for 1 person or a couple, and it's in a quiet but central location. Parking is free and off-street, which is rare downtown! She left some space in her closet for my clothes, which I really appreciated. This is a wonderful alternative to a hotel, especially if you are in town for a conference at the neighboring AT&T Conference Center. Thanks Missy!
Missy was really nice and very hospitable. The place has a great location and was spotless! One thing I didn't realize until I got there was that the bed is a pullout bed. I didn't mind it, but it would've been nice to know ahead of time. Regardless, I had a great stay and would do it again in a heartbeat! Thanks, Missy!
the apartment was spotlessly clean, bright and full of light, nicely furnished and really well located.
i totally enjoyéd my austin stay! thumbs up!
The Treehouse is awesome! Very clean, easy stay, perfect for the out-of-towner who wants to stay walking distance from both UT and downtown/6th street areas. Loved the stay and will definitely be back. Thanks!
Missy delivered on everything she promised. No complaints.
The Treehouse is the best. This was the perfect location and place to stay for my one week stay in Austin. Easy walking distance to lots of places, including the Dog & Duck pub, and the Clay Pit, two Austin favorites. Convenient to Whole Foods, Book People. Building is very quiet. Condo had everything I needed and is beautiful. Enjoyed the pecan trees out the windows, view of UT Tower to the north, downtown to the south. Would definitely stay again. A great experience. Thank you, Missy.
We stayed at the Treehouse for New Year's in December 2012. It's nice space for 1-2 people with full kitchen and is relatively close to campus and the downtown areas. The space was a nice size for my wife and I and met all of our needs. The location was good for us and the parking space was great because we rented a car while in town. You probably could get away with public transit/zip car/walking if you sticking to areas in campus and downtown. We needed to head a little outside of the city for a wedding and decided that a car was our best bet. Overall, I would recommend staying at the Treehouse on your next visit to Austin. It's a great place for a telecommuter in town for a few days, or a couple on vacation looking to see the sights of Austin
