All of our pricing is based on last years bookings, and I cannot discount the rates of these holidays at all, so please don't ask.

While staying at The Cabin you might want to visit some PLACES OF INTEREST CLICK HERE
SNOWBOARDING / SKIING of course for skiing and snowboarding the biggest and some say the best mountains to hit are Killington which is located Route 4 West. I would recommend if its open take the Skyship Gondola if operational, its the best fastest way to the top and its 7 miles from the Cabin and no lines. Last run of the day takes you directly to your car via Great Eastern.
Snowboard & Ski gear rentals and purchases can be made with Darkside CLICK HERE Located in both mountain you can get a special rate by emailing or calling Aaron or Will and saying you are guests of The Cabin.
Killington address: 1842 Killington Road Killington, VT (phone number hidden)
Okemo address: 57 Pond Street Ludlow, VT (phone number hidden)
Another popular mountain you might want to hit up is Okemo. A bit further then Killington, although has great runs and other activities. When you pull out of the driveway just make a left and take Route 100a all the way down until you reach Route 100, then make another left. Its about 12 miles from the Cabin.
Woodstock, Vermont named the "quintessential New England village," the town of Woodstock is chock full of charming Americana, including a covered bridge smack in the center of town and a village green surrounded by restored Georgian, Federal Style and Greek Revival homes. Spend a day wandering under the shade of 400-year-old hemlock trees at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park and then revitalize yourself at Sugarbush Farm, where you can taste maple syrup or 14 varieties of cheese for free. CLICK HERE to learn more about places to visit.
Quechee, Vermont just east of Woodstock off of Route 4, a picturebook village if there ever was one. You enter the village by crossing a covered bridge immediately below cascading white water. When exit the bridge you're there.... in "downtown" Quechee Village. There is no downtown! However, you're right a the door of nationally renowned Simon Pearce Glass, and its legendary restaurant overhanging the falls.
I stayed at the Cabin for thanksgiving with a group of 15 friends.
The house is exactly as described and the pictures totally reflect the house which is completely amazing.
The large living room is perfect for relaxing by the beautiful fireplace while enjoying music through the built in surround sound system. The kitchen is large enough to cook for 16 people end is equipped with everything one would need.
The table was big enough to welcome all our group.
There is no way to describe how great it is to relax in the hot tube looking at the snow landscape surrounding.
Everything from the bedrooms to the bathrooms was ready upon arrival. What a pleasure to enter a warm house !
I would definitely be back to the cabin and would recommend it to anybody with no hesitation.
Alastair was a great host, making the organization of our trip very easy and providing us with some pieces of advice to organize a ski trip to Killington.

This past weekend myself and a large group stayed at this "Trendy Mountain House" in VT. We were looking for a nice quiet home that could accommodate 10+ guys. We found it here. What a great place to hang out and enjoy relaxing Vermont. The home is exactly how it is described, and more. The basement is completely refinished, with a huge bar and entertainment area. The "L" shaped back porch is big, with the hot tub in one corner. The yard is well kept and huge (~1 acre of mowed well kept lawn, plus low cut field surrounding the lawn) . We played a softball game one day and had plenty of room. One of the best features of the house is the great room. Right when you walk in the door, the house opens up to a large entertainment room with a nice large flat screen mounted on the wall and a fireplace along with a sofa, sectional sofa, and arm chair. We watched football all day on Sunday and it was great. 14 full size beds, all the sheets and pillows you need. The kitchen could be updated a little (the flat top griddle was not working when we were there) but the kitchen was supplied with all the dinnerware we needed. Nice long dining table with seats for at least 12. Big fridge and freezer. nice gas stove, dishwasher and garbage disposal.
The house was very clean and well kept. I have stayed in a few rentals near ski resorts in "off season" and sometimes they smell musty and are dusty because no one has been in the home in a few months. This house was clean and well taken care of.
The owner, Alastair, was terrific. He responded to all of my questions before booking the house in a quick and informative manner. I have booked a few rentals over the years and Alastair was at the top for customer service. He was honest and fair. It almost seemed too good to be true but after our stay, we were all very satisfied with the house and I would recommend this rental to all of my friends and family.
We had a fantastic stay at Alastair's Vermont cabin - it was a perfect. Bachelor party getaway. Great scenery, great amenities, fully furnished cabin, perfect for a large group such as ours. I would recommend it to anyone. Alastair and the property manager were a pleasure to work with.
