Lovely cabin, overlooking pond, in peaceful, but convenient (Saratoga, Vermont, Lake George) country location. A charming retreat, in a beautiful natural setting! *2nd cabin https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/7030707 *Treehouse is ready to book for spring/ summer booking! https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13460229

The space

Looking for a respite from the hectic city life, in a peaceful setting, surrounded by nature, with all of it's glorious wonders!
Perhaps you are looking to spend a romantic weekend getaway...
Maybe you are an artist, writer, musician, and need a place to be inspired...or anyone wishing to just "unplug"!
We all need a place to retreat and connect with nature, and enjoy the beauty, sounds, and smells, to be fully engaged with all of our senses!
A stay in the quaint cabin may be just the place to feeds your soul!

There is no indoor plumbing, but I do supply fresh well water in a water crock and there is a spigot outdoors for re-filling!
Cabin is quite stocked:
* Small fridge
* French Press, Espresso Stove top pot
* Pots/Pans, Kitchenware, toaster oven, blender
* Fresh well water provided in glass crock (no need to bring water)
* Coffee bean grinder with fresh organic beans
* Organic ground coffee, spices, organic teas, local honey, organic raw sugar, organic oatmeal
*Retro Radio for your listening pleasure!
*Record Player and vintage vinyl collection to set the mood, and feel free to bring along some of your favorites! (If you have an extra vinyl record to add to the collection, bring it along!)
*Cotton Sheets/Flannel in winter, warm, layered bedding provided
*Natural shampoos and Dr. Bronner's soap (please only use biodegradable, natural products, which I provide...other's are not a healthy choice for draining into the ground)
* Various books, puzzles, cards and games
*Slippers in the colder months to keep your feet warm and dry!
** If there is a spice, or anything you need, I am close by, so feel free to ask, and I am more than happy to share what I have!

There is an outdoor charcoal grill, (must bring your own charcoal), as well as a cast iron chimnea outdoor fireplace for those who want to sit around a nice outdoor fire!
* You may want to stop and pick up some bundled firewood!
There is a spring fed lake 5 minute drive up the road you can access, for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, as well as a wonderful place to rent kayaks for a leisurely trip down the Battenkill River
There is a fairly decent signal for att and verizon cell service. I do have wifi up at my yurt, if needed.

NOTE: This cabin, with the screened in porch does reside near my yurt/residence...I do respect privacy, but the cabin is not as privately situated as my other cabin and tree house! I suggest reading reviews to help decide which is a best fit for your stay...

* I do have 6 friendly cats that wander the property, and have been in the cabin (in case of allergies), also I have two wandering Guinea Fowl (the clowns)!...that roost
in the tree over the screen porch ( they are quite amusing but can be loud at times, they call them the farmer's watchdogs!

Please don't be alarmed by the occasional presence of flying pests, it is a cabin on wooded country property, and they are a part off experiencing, and being in nature!

***PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING IN WINTER: Cabin can get chilly in the coldest of temps...please consider not booking if you are not prepared to deal with a rustic, minimally insulated, rustic cabin in the winter!! Please check forecast...I do not control the weather, so please book accordingly. These cabins are rustic cabin/camps...

*Winter/mud/early spring season access: Parking is at top of driveway (easy walk), outdoor shower not available. Can either wash up with basin the old fashioned way. Being a rustic cabin, one does need to keep the wood stove going. Cabin can get chilly to cold in the coldest of temps...please consider not booking if you are not prepared to deal with a rustic, minimally insulated cabin in the winter!! please pick up some bundled dry firewood.

Guest access

There is an outdoor compost toilet outhouse.

Interaction with guests

This being my fourth season as an airbnb host, I must say, I just love meeting all of the wonderful guests that I have been fortunate to share my tranquil, and lovely spot with!
If I am around, I would be more than happy to answer any questions, or give you ideas, and directions to places of interest. Perhaps we can even share in a nice glass of wine! I do live on the property in a yurt as well. I am usually always accessible via text, or phone.
* I totally respect my guests privacy, and need for their "alone" time. Please understand that I do wander through the property, tending to my gardens, etc, but will only socialize with guests, if they so desire!
*Also, I reside in a yurt, behind the cabin.

Other things to note

**A recent inquiry has inspired me to note: All walks of life, sexual orientation, and gender identities are warmly welcome and invited to stay, share, and enjoy this property... So yes, I am LGBT friendly, and so is my 5.25 acre property that you can freely enjoy, individually, or as a couple!

*I will do everything I can to make your stay comfortable...
! cotton sheets, flannel in the colder months, and biodegradable natural soap and shampoo for the outdoor shower as well. (Please only use biodegradable/natural products while using shower, as it does drain directly into the ground.)
(URL HIDDEN) the summer, there are plenty of fresh herbs, and mint everywhere for your use. In season, berries as well.

* Minimum stay is 2 nights.
* No Dogs
*Not suitable for young children

*In summer, please no DEET bug sprays! I supply a lemon/eucalyptus oil for you to use, or if you bring natural products...thank you!

* * I am also a Reiki practitioner. If interested in booking a session, feel free to contact me to set up an appointment, or any questions you may have!
Makes a wonderful surprise gift as well...

Victoria's cabin is located on a beautiful wooded property with a pond. The cabin is extremely cozy with a comfortable bed and furniture. The kitchen situation is basic, but solid enough to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Coffee is provided! The property has a bustling DIY campground vibe and features multiple rental cabins located close to each other with a shared outhouse and outdoor shower. During my stay, all of the cabins were occupied and there were additional guests placed in Victoria's art studio. The atmosphere was very friendly and happy, which I enjoyed, but I would not recommend this option to anyone looking for a private retreat.

Response from Victoria:
I'm happy you enjoyed the cabin and property! The cabins are all situated in their own area iver 5.25 acres, although the cabin on the pond is the least private in setting...The tree house is completely private and tucked way back into the trees, as well as the rustic cabin. All three have their own private outhouses, kitchens, and firepits... One central outdoor shower is shared. This particular columbus weekend was busy and I let regular guests stay in my art studio and they did share the outhouse for one evening. I'm sorry if you felt you weren't in a private enough setting. Always best to read reviews to get an overall pucture if each cabin.

The cabin was an amazing place to get some peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. I loved watching the pond in the morning with some tea, reading out in the hammock on the porch, and cozying up to the wood stove on chiller nights. The property is well situated for visiting small towns, hiking, and enjoying the surrounding area. Victoria was amazing and really responsive as well! I loved my stay.

Wow! What a great place. We booked our stay on a lark based on how nice it seemed and the peace and charm is so awesome we're already looking to book again. Victoria's thoughtfulness really shines through in the details. If you're of that age use the record player for sure, and even if you're not put on some Les Brown and His Band of Renown while enjoying your evening libations and meal. It's easy enough to run into Saratoga for dinner but I'd recommend using the hot plate and BBQ for al fresco candlelit dining, followed by relaxing in the chaises by the fire. A++ all around.

We loved our stay in the cabin by the pond. The cabin is thoughtfully decorated and stocked with essential cooking items (including yummy coffee & tea), a record player, board games and a hammock. The not-so-wild life outside was an added bonus. Jerry the cat guarded outside our cabin day and night and was very friendly. There were also two hens which were a source of entertainment roaming around. The property as a whole was a delight. We sat in hammocks and lounge chairs to relax. We bbq'd most nights, when it rained we cooked on the hot plate. There was a fireplace outside and a cozy wood burning stove inside. Victoria provided us with great recommendations for places to eat and activities to do. We particularly enjoyed kayaking on Lake Adirondack and the General Store by lake Cossayuna. All and all this was a perfect place to unplug and recharge. We highly recommend a stay in the cabin.
