The Space

This is a room for female guest only:

We are two females in our late 20s renting out our guest room (female only). The guest room is next to one of the two other bedrooms, living room and kitchen. It is small but very bright (just like the rest of the apt) and functional - it has one sofa (foldable - once unfold, size equivalent to queen bed) , one desk and one chair (desk and chair are new, not shown on the picture here). It is ideal for a weekend stay or a short visit in NH.

This sunny apartment is on the top floor of an apartment building in East Rock, very safe and pleasant neighborhood. It is 7-minute walk to Yale School of Management. Shuttle bus blue line is right in front of the building and red, orange line are only a couple of blocks away. You will find grocery stores (Nicca's), restaurants & cafes within another 5-7 minute walk.

Clean sheet, pillow, blanket, (and towel, if needed) will be provided upon request.

  • I had a very good experience staying at Lei's! Lei was not home, but her roommate Audrey was very kind and helpful. The bedroom I stayed in is small, but bright and clean and warm. The bed - a futon - was comfy. A nice, quiet, safe place to stay. It was less than 20 mins walk to the campus of Yale. Overall - perfect for someone presenting at a conference at Yale University or visiting the campus.

  • Lei is a warm, helpful host who keeps a clean and lovely home. I'd stay with her again!

  • Lei is on the ball and very accommodating! Her place is comfortable, affordable, and ON Yale's campus. I would definitely stay with her again. What a find!

  • The apartment is really nice and clean, Lei and her flatmate are lovely and the make you feel like at home! Also the flat is just 10 mins walking away from Yale and its buildings. Maybe I would say that the sofa-bed is unconfortable but for a some days stay is fair enough. I definitely recommend Lei's!

  • Lei was an absolutely gracious and welcoming host! The apartment is lovely and clean, and the room is cozy and warm, with a great view of East Rock. Lei made sure I had all I needed once I arrived, gave me directions to nearby restaurants and grocery stores, provided extra bedding in addition to what I had brought, and even offered me tea! I was in town for an interview, and though it may not have gone well, Lei was friendly and made Yale feel like home for a few days. I had the great fortune of celebrating the Chinese New Year (email hidden)ly group of people, and left New Haven with new friends and a very positive outlook.

  • This cozy, tidy room was just what I needed when in town to visit a relative at Yale-New Haven Hospital. On-street overnight parking felt perfectly safe, and Lei is friendly and generous.

  • I stayed with Lei in her beautiful home during a stressful residency interview and she made my trip so lovely and stress free, I cannot recommend her place highly enough! Lei was beyond accommodating with her home- offering food/tea/water/an emergency ironing board/etc! The home is cozy and clean and in a really beautiful and safe neighborhood. Definitely recommend!

  • Had a lovely time staying with Lei!
The first night I was "upgraded" to a larger room (since it was available) - the bed was very comfortable, slept great. It didnt really bother me, but for future guests: the street outside and heater could be a little noisy, so earplugs may be good for light sleepers.
The second night I moved to the advertised, smaller futon-bed room since another set of guests (a couple) were coming in. This room is definitely small, but cozy and quite comfortable. It got cold at night as I didnt know how to fiddle with the heater, but future guests could just ask Lei for assistance.
Lei was a wonderful host!! Cheery, helpful, and even organized a little "house breakfast" between the four of us on our last day that was delicious and very fun :)
Nice neighborhood, absolutely within walking distance of many attractions and Yale university, and I felt very safe walking around at night.

  • Lei was really wonderful about accommodating my stay even though she was out of town. The apartment is in a great location- right next to Yale with easy access to public transportation.

  • Lei's apartment are very near from Yale's buildings. The room is quite warm (very warm even in freezing snowy day!!) and comfortable. Both of Lei and her roommate are very nice and patient. It's a very good experience to live with them. I will recommend this room.
