The Space

Cute cottage in Regency Square in the Arts District.
2 bedroom, 1 bath home with hardwood floors, fireplace, high hedge in front for privacy. Three ponds and lots of foliage make this a zen-like retreat in the middle of the city.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a non-smoking property. If you or your guests smoke, this is not the place you're looking for. :)

Centrally located just off the 10 freeway on the border of Culver City near Helms Bakery just three blocks from the Expo line Culver City station (public transportation in LA!)

Close to the ocean, Sony Pictures, restaurants, art galleries, theatres (stage & screen), downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, mid-city museums, and more!

Bedroom 1:
1 Queen Bed - platform bed, foam mattress

Bedroom 2:
1 Queen Bed - box spring, pillowtop mattress

Living Room:
Our sectional couch will comfortably sleep one. It is not a sleeper sofa. We also have a futon (double) that can be used on the floor.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the front patio, the whole house and the covered patio off the master bedroom.

Guests do not have access to the uncovered patio between the houses, the garage, or the house at the back of the property. Guests may not park in the driveway.

Interaction with Guests

Interaction with guests is very minimal, though I'm always available by phone, email or airbnb messaging. Guests have the whole house to themselves from check in to check out.

The Neighborhood

There are some amazing restaurants across the street at Helms Bakery. If you love burgers & beers, Father's Office is not to be missed. You'll find an affordable French bistro, La Dijonaise, a few doors down from Father's Office -- ask for Harissa paste for your fries and/or bread. Yum. Across from La Dijonaise is Bucato, a small plates Italian restaurant that has pasta and bread made from scratch daily!

If you are taking in the sights, you'll find that you are centrally located between Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Downtown & Hollywood.

Neighboring Culver City has a ton of great restaurants to offer. Lyfe is one of our favorites, offering 3 versions of their menu: Everything, Gluten-Free, and Vegan. There's a Farmers Market every Tuesday from 2 to 7 pm on Main St. and there's a block party every Third Wednesday featuring live music, special offers, free goodies, food, wine and cocktail samplings and discounts from over 20 participating businesses throughout the Downtown Culver City area.

There are several art galleries within walking distance. Check (website hidden) for more info.

Getting around

The Expo Line, just 3 blocks away, will take you downtown to the California Science Center (home of the Endeavor Space Shuttle), Expo Center, an IMAX theatre, Memorial Coliseum, The Natural History Museum, Rose Garden, and Sports Arena.
The Culver CityBus & Metro Bus systems can get you just about anywhere you need to go.
Soon, the Expo line will take you all the way to Santa Monica beach!

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Very central and convenient location. Walking distance to the Helms Bakery area with several restaurants. (Highly recommend Bucato - call for same-day reservation.) Photos are accurate and the outside sitting area is very pleasant. We had a great stay!

  • This home is everything it states and more! NeHa was super responsive, kind and very easy going. My coworkers and I had rented the home for over a week and it felt like home!
I LOVED the outdoor living room and the running fountains and ponds in the front AND back of the home.
I totally recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a chill place to call home during your stay in LA.
    Thank you NeHa!!!

  • We had a great stay at Neha's place.
Everything was easy from the start.
The appartment is well located in LA. At a good distance from downtown, santa monica and beverly. We would definitely recommand this place.

  • Neha was a fabulous host. Very responsive through email and flexible with our schedule and needs. The place is exactly as photographed: simple, clean, zen. Exactly what we needed for our two week stay with our 10 month old. Walk to Helms Bakery, culver city parks, and trader joes. Street is surprisingly quiet even though it's nestled between Venice blvd and the 10 fwy. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Stayed there for 3 nights, really an oasis to relax. Neha was very nice and responsive. Very comfortable for 4 people, you feel like a local. We definitely enjoyed it!

  • Neha was super helpful in providing sleeping accommodations for us, we brought our 2 young children. The house was exactly as described and in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to downtown Culver.
    We'd definitely stay again!

  • The home was exactly as presented (actually, I was pleasantly surprised as it was nicer than expected), incredibly clean and Neha left us a lovely collection of welcome items which made a late night arrival much more pleasant. The home is great and exactly what we needed for our business trip (the AppleTV was an added bonus).

Neha was brilliant; always very quick to respond to our queries, incredibly helpful and nothing was too much to ask - we couldn't have asked for a better Host!

    Thank you Neha,

  • We had a lovely time in Culver City at Neha's place. The house is beautiful and has a completely delightful sheltered courtyard/patio - it really is an oasis!

Neha was easy to communicate with and everything at the house was as described. And immaculate!

The neighborhood is oddly quiet for being so near to a busy street, and is in walking distance to many useful things. We enjoyed cocktails and supper at Father's Office, and breakfast at Rubio's Cafe - both within a 5-10 minute walk. The Culver City station on the new Expo train line is also just a quick walk, and then it's about 30 minutes into downtown. So much easier than braving the traffic.

Overall, it was a wonderful and relaxed visit - thanks Neha!

  • My family had a lovely time in Neha's place. Check in and out was a breeze, easy to find parking right outside and everything necessary was provided. Loved the details of the place!

UC Berkeley
I was born and raised in LA and have yet to live anywhere outside California. After high school, I moved up north to attend UC Berkeley and stayed there to begin my career in Visual Effects at Industrial Light & Magic. After 12 years in Berkeley, I came home to LA where I continued to work in Visual Effects, became a massage therapist and got my diploma in Ayurvedic Sciences. Though California has always been home, I have traveled to many places including my parents' homeland, Sri Lanka. I met my future husband, Sean, working on Life of Pi and we recently bought a home together. Sean surfs almost every day and I join him when it's not too cold or too early. We enjoy chasing waves around the globe, playing the occasional round of golf, live music (especially at the Hollywood Bowl), visiting friends and family, and making new friends in exotic places. Our favorite meal is the vegan Club Sandwich at Real Food Daily.
