We are a professional couple who will be out of the house from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This means that you will have the place to yourself most of the time, but we will be around to help you navigate the city and chat at night and on most weekends. We have a beautiful, quiet dog named Lucy who is a crate trained and friendly. When we are at work she spends her day in her kennel sleeping. Our cleaning lady will quietly work around you if you find that your stay coincides with her arrival.

Everything was as advertised. This is a nice room in a lovely house, and Jason and Cassandra are very welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. And the dog Lucy is precious! Columbia Heights is an up and coming neighborhood and it was fun to explore the area. Lots of good restaurants and cafes close by. Friendly hosts, great location and a good deal - you can't go wrong staying here!
Jason and Cassandra were great hosts. The location was perfect and the little touches like Metrocards were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
Very nice and comfy private room. Jason and Cassandra are very sensitive to your needs, and are a very warm and hospitable young couple. I'd like to count them among my close friends. I had a wonderful time. And playing with Lucy their dog was an extra delight.
I highly recommend Jason and Cassandra. The room was delightful, the place peaceful and the neighborhood quiet; after long days of sightseeing we awoke refreshed and ready for more. The room included many extras like a coffee maker with GOOD coffee, a first aid kit, warm blankets and fluffy towels, metro cards, maps, a sheet with all sorts of great tips, great closet, clean bathroom with great shower and the list goes on. We had all we needed.
The home is located close to the bus and the Metro in a very walkable neighborhood. Jason and Cassandra made themselves available to answer questions and make recommendations for restaurants and attractions.
This was our first airbnb experience; it was totally awesome all around - do yourself a favor and don't miss this sunlight filled bedroom!
Jason and Cassandra own the friendliest dog on earth (Jason told us that reviewers always say nice things about Lusy. I can't resist the same temptation to say the same thing about her :)) The Columbia Heights is a nice neighborhood, very close to Metro and shopping places. It's also only 20 minutes walk to the Basilica of Immaculate Conception. Jason & Cassandra were very friendly and we get a glimpse of life in DC from them. The room is full of light and clean. Maps, SmartTrip cards, coffee maker, coffee & teas, choices of soaps & shampoos are kindly provided. It was a wonderful experience staying with them.
Jason and Cassandra are wonderful hosts. They certainly are very experienced with hosting travelers, as they provide excellent accommodations that I was not able to find even in hotels. The room is spacious, comfortable, and clean. I highly recommend staying here if you are arriving from Ronald Raegan National Airport (DCA) because of the direct transport through the subway yellow line, especially if you carry luggages with you.
Staying at Jason and Cassandra's house during my first visit to Washington DC turned out to be an excellent decision. They have a lovely house in a lovely neighborhood close to a metro station and to a mall. You can even go by foot from their house to the National Mall and be exposed to less known sides and neighborhoods of the American capital. Above all, they were friendly, kind, patient and always willing to help and give useful advice. I highly recommend that you stay over at their house, if you come to Washington DC.
I had a great stay with Jason and Cassandra when I came to D.C. Their home and the bedroom were very clean and comfortable. All of their communication with me in advance of arrival was extremely clear so I knew exactly where to go and how to find everything I needed once I arrived. If you like dogs, their adorable dog Lucy is very friendly and enthusiastic - but Jason and Cassandra were also great about confirming my comfort with her, and made it clear I didn't have to interact with their dog if I didn't want to. All in all it was a great 6 night stay!
Thanks so much J and C for an exceptional stay in Columbia Heights, DC- great central location!! & Neat, Clean & tidy place w/ a large window view!! I appreciate all your helpful hints for navigating around DC.
Look fwd to bringing my niece back for education tour to smithsonians one day!
Jason and Cassandra were wonderful hosts. Their home and room (definitely sunlight-filled, when it's sunny in DC ;) ) were lovely and conveniently close to the Columbia Heights Metro station and the new shopping and restaurants that have grown around it.
They were extremely flexible with arrival and departure plans and attentive to anything we needed; I would not hesitate to book them for your stay in DC.
