Doc and Sara are beloved hosts

Guests highlight Doc and Sara's warmth, with many saying they felt right at home from arrival.
Windswept is an inviting and comfortable place to stay for 1 night or a week.
We love to share our property and home, which includes two friendly dogs and a cat.
The Northeast room has a queen-sized bed and its own entrance from an east-facing Deck. Bath is shared if the Southeast room is booked.
The main house is guest friendly as well. There is extra space in the refrigerator for your use and the living room is available for reading or watching TV.

The space
The Northeast Room is a spacious room with queen-sized bed and recliner, and a private entrance opening onto an East-facing deck. Broadband wi-fi is available at no cost.

Guest access
Guests have access to the living room, kitchen, dining room (if needed), and the entire property.

During your stay
We live upstairs, so are available as needed. Doc works remotely from home and Sara works part-time, so property is almost never unattended.

Other things to note
Because this is a farm among other farms and forest, we ask guests to sign a liability waiver prior to use of the ponds or hiking throughout the property.

Guests with allergies are advised that there are pets in the house (two dogs, one cat). All are friendly.

If you have a pet you wish to bring, it should be discussed with hosts. Pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis.

From the host

Windswept Acres is 55 acres on a Vermont hilltop with two ponds and tremendous hilltop views, as well as multiple gardens, lawns, and picturesque viewpoints ideal for photographers and artists.
Our neighbors include a small farm with pigs and cattle and the Hooved Animal Sanctuary, which rescues, rehabilitates, and finds homes for animals in need. Both are very accommodating with hikers.

My work: : Doc is now an IT professional and consultant; Sara runs the office for a Sodexo food service account at Vermont Technical College.
Lives in Chelsea, Vermont
A music educator turned career musician, brought by circumstance to Vermont where Sara was born and raised.. Now an almost-retired IT professional running a small, distinctive Homestay with Sara, who administers a food service operation for Sodexo. We both are photographers specializing in our area of Vermont - want to see what our place looks like? AirBnB won’t let us show you with our SmugMug website, so you’ll just have to imagine it!
