When the garden is blooming you are welcome to forage for what's in season. On street parking is free and readily available.

Interaction with Guests
While we respect our guests privacy we also enjoy getting to know travelers and sharing any insights we might have on the area. The family dog Pepper is around and happy to entertain you or can be scarce if you'd prefer. The host lives in a separate apartment downstairs but unless you rent the whole main floor (see other listing shown on my profile page) the common areas may be shared with one other guest room.
The Leschi neighborhood is quiet, diverse and thriving. There are lovely walks down to the lake and nearby parks, and we are within walking distance of some great restaurants, coffee shops and variety stores. We provide a walking map to acquaint you with the area. Plenty of suggestions for Seattle activities, in particular the Pike Place Market where Sara operates her crafts business.
Close to bus lines, you can get downtown Seattle in less than 20 minutes. Near light rail Mount Baker stop so easy access to and from the airport.
No smoking in the house

This was an amazing week at Sara's in Seattle. Her place is cozy, artistic and clean. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, nearby a bus stop (bus 14) that would take you to downtown. And Sara is a very nice host who's thoughtful and caring. She embraces cultural differences, which is very important to me because I'm a Chinese girl who traveled alone in Seattle for a week. I'd definitely recommend Sara's home stay, because she made my experience unforgettable.
Sara has a wonderful home. Her place is very tidy with beautiful furnishing and art from around the world. The bedroom is spacious and has everything one needs. The bed was very comfortable with a great mattress. The bathroom super clean with nice touches like a bouquet of lavender in the corner. Sara is a natural and very caring host. I would very much recommend her place to all my friends.
Our 2-night stay with Sara was great! Her home is really cozy and super interesting - items from around the world decorate the house beautifully. Our room was comfortable and we had towels, chocolates and a welcome card waiting for us when we arrived. Sara is very sweet and welcoming and her dog, Pepper, is cute. We enjoyed our conversations with Sara over breakfast and it was very easy to get everywhere from her place since we had our car. Would definitely stay again!
Sara is a nice, warm, kind, talented person.
and her house is tidy, clean, comfortable.
(and she has a cute dog, Pepper!!!)
I'll stay her house when I go to Seattle again.
may be you can understand what I want to say.
Thank you Sara!
I would definitely recommend staying with Sara if you are ever in the Seattle area. She was completely low key and very hospitable; leaving snacks out on our arrival and a walking map of the area. A fantastic host!
Sara was an amazing host. Unfortunately, she got sick while we were there, but she was very accommodating to us and also made sure we felt at home. If any of my friends were visiting, I'd definitely recommend her place to any of them!

I am an artist and have been a crafts vendor at the colorful Pike Place Market for more than three decades. I love traveling and have family as far flung as the Norwegian arctic circle and West Africa. My travel experiences have been so enriching and everywhere I go I'm grateful for the kindness and generosity of hosts. I hope to share the same quality of experience with people who come to share in the beauty of the Northwest or explore the Seattle area.
Our home is cozy and comfortable. You will be welcome to use the space and make yourself at home here. While we enjoy getting to know our guests we also respect people's space and privacy and strive to be sensitive to your needs.
