This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Providence. It's a private room and bathroom in a beautiful, safe, historic, well-located house, less than 1 mile from Brown University and RISD, in the heart of Wayland Square, on the East Side of Providence, RI—the best neighborhood in the city. Your room is a private, second-floor bedroom with private bathroom and lots of closet space. Included is parking for one car, FIOS wireless internet, central air conditioning/heat, clean sheets and towels, fresh soaps, and everything is always exceptionally clean. Check In
  • Adam's private room was lovely! Really comfy big bed and ample room for suitcases, the private bathroom was also a plus. The bathroom was lovely, very modern and very clean. The check-in process was easy with a pin code on the door to enter (I need to invest in one of these for myself when I own a house in the future) and Adam communicated with us that he wouldn't be home until late and to settle in. There wasn't a television in the room but I had movies on my iPad so wasn't a problem. We met Phoebe when she popped her head into the room through the open door after she arrived home and met Adam a bit later when we yelled out hello while he was in his study and we had a nice chat and he offered some helpful suggestions for the rest of our trip but other than that, he and Phoebe respected our space. We walked into the kitchen to grab some water and everything was immaculately clean. Adam also had a guest visitors pass for our car waiting for us in our room before we arrived which you need to have hanging in your car after 2am so you don't get a ticket. Overall, great place, which we were there longer than a night and would definitely stay there again!

  • Adam and Phoebe were excellent hosts. They communicated clearly prior to the visit, were flexible when our arrival time was delayed, offered interesting conversation and provided a clean, quiet and nicely decorated space for us to stay in. The neighborhood is very pleasant and we enjoyed the walk to Brown University and downtown. We would highly recommend this listing.

  • Beautiful room. Beautiful neighborhood. Adam and Phoebe were so friendly and available during my stay. I love the snacks in the room (and ate all the chocolates!). Thanks you!

  • Adam's home was absolutely love and in a wonderful part of town. The room was gorgeous and comfortable and while it was a separate room within the house, Adam and Phoebe were sure to give us absolute privacy. My girlfriend and I felt like we had the place to ourselves. Adam was also kind enough to provide all amenities necessary to make it, as I would describe, a hotel-meets-staying-with-a-close-friend experience.

They were also extremely accommodating from the get go and helpful in suggesting places to go around Providence and Newport. As an example, we parked on the side of the road during an "emergency" aka a snow storm and were ticketed as a result. However, Adam had all bases covered with screenshots of the city site which stated there was no parking ban. As a result, he kindly offered to bring the ticket to City Hall to dispute it. I was extremely impressed. What a great host!

I would HIGHLY suggest staying here to anyone interested in visiting Providence. When my girlfriend and I return during the warmer months, we'll be sure to contact Adam.

  • My boyfriend and I had a great stay with Adam and Phoebe. They were extremely gracious hosts—flexible with our arrival time, and full of great recommendations for food in the area. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The private bathroom just across the hall was absolutely spotless. The neighborhood is beautiful, and we opted to leave our car parked at Adam's place while we explored Brown & RISD campuses by foot. I highly recommend staying with Adam and Phoebe if your travels take you to Providence.

  • This was my first stay at an Airbnb accommodation. The room and bath were spotless. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooom was immaculate. Adam was gracious, interesting and helpful. The neighborhood was calm and perfectly located for visiting my kid at Brown. I couldn't be happier with my stay.

  • Amazing room and amazing host! I visited for a long weekend to attend my college reunion. Adam's house was the perfect place to stay in the old neighborhood. The room is located on the second floor at the front of the house. Clean, quiet and very comfortable. Large closet and a full private bathroom across the hall. Though not a hotel, Adam takes great care to treat guests like they are in a B&B. There were even snacks and bottled water in the room which was very nice as I arrived late in the evening. There is also a simple key code lock to enter the house so it's very easy to check in/out and come and go as you please in between. I would highly recommend!
