This San Francisco neighborhood is the hottest neighborhood in the United States of America according to red fin.
Stay in San Francisco in the heart of the Hottest Neighborhood in the USA! according to (website hidden)! Yes, Bernal Heights, our little hidden gem, has become a star.
This Bernal Heights House is on a tree-lined street in a safe quiet beautiful conveniently located neighborhood. House has well cared for hardwood floors, oriental rugs throughout and is very clean, and it has a lot of character.
As you would expect from a 'HOT' neighborhood, the location is super convenient with a walking score of 88. Its near all necessary amenities, including two grocery stores, a few of small markets, a ton of well recognized great bars and restaurants, BART and Bernal Hts parks(with some of the best views of the City), Holly Park is also a short walk away, as well as a few of very cute boutique shops or art galleries. It is a 10 minute walk to the very charming Cortland area(we like to call it 'Cortlandia') and a ten to fifteen minute walk to 24th and Mission BART subway, five minutes walk to Noe Valley, Dolores and Church Streets. Also less then five minutes walk to J Church MUNI train.
The spacious bedroom has a walk in closet and bay windows with fresh paint. It's furnished with art deco era bedroom set with matching desk. WIFI is very strong and fast in the bedrooms.
Home is a bright/sunny Mediterranean built in 1933 right in the heart of the Bernal Heights district. It's very near both Noe Valley and the Mission District. Lots of charm and character in this beautiful spacious home. It has a gorgeous working fireplace and an upright piano in the living room. Original Parquet hardwood floors. The kitchen has a lovely O'Keefe and Merritt stove and a quiet Viking stainless range hood, and a large stainless pro series frig. (You're welcome to make use of the kitchen if you like cooking.) The shared bathroom has a full tiled shower, a seperate tub and is tiled with sea-foam green tile from the 30's.
The backyard is filled with exotic plants and brownstone/flagstone hard-scaping with a fire pit. Bicycle storage included in two car garage below(car parking negotiable.) Street parking is hit and miss. As far as San Francisco is concerned parking is a breeze. But expect that you may have an extended search for a spot at times.
Bicycle's are available to borrow.
Downstairs has separate unit with extra kitchen, bath and a third bedroom/loft and an office, but is occupied currently.
NOTE: I have dogs - The dogs live in the house. They are MY responsibility and they are extremely friendly and safe for children.

I stayed here for nine days and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, friendly place to stay in San Francisco. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and Scott was a very accommodating and friendly host. As a bonus, his dogs are incredibly sweet!
This is a great place to stay I highly recommend it. Scott is pleasant and considerate, the place is very clean and you can get a good night's rest.
The bathroom is shared so make sure you shower before 6 or from 8 am onwards (would be my guess from my experience there) to avoid busiest shower times.
This was my first airbnb experience and this was a great place to start. Scott was super friendly and made me feel at home right away. The house was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend Scott's place to anyone looking for a sweet spot to stay in SF.
Very friendly host . House very clean and room is spacious. Very close to transportation. Great restaurant and bar nearby. I would recommend it to anyone and a colleague is staying there this week.
A lovely home, warm and comfortable, and an even lovelier host. Scott was really kind and helpful, I would definitely stay again. Many many thanks for your hospitality Scott!
I had a lovely stay here.
Beautiful home, big/peaceful room, spacious kitchen for cooking, and great host!
* The bathroom and kitchen are absolutely gorgeous as depicted.
* The location is safe, very convenient to public transportation and is near some awesome restaurants and bars.
* Scott is very accommodating with the space and has good tips about the neighborhood.
* The walls are very thin and the bedroom gets noise from the kitchen. I'm not a light sleeper but I was woken up a few times.
* You get noise from the downstairs neighbors when he's berating his crying son (~once a week).
* The dogs were great while Scott was home. Then he left the country and a new woman stayed in his room and was responsible for the dogs. Either she wasn't doing a great job or the dogs weren't adjusting well, because they started leaving messes all over the house (~once or twice a day). I ended up taking them out a few times, which was never necessary when Scott was around.
Even though I'm allergic to cats, when I was given the chance to catsit at a friend's apartment for the last week of my rental, I took it.
This was my first Airbnb experience and it didn't disappoint. Scott is an awesome host. Very accommodating and a pleasant person. He got adorable dogs in the house. His place is fantastic, very well kept. The neighborhood is a quiet place and a nice alternative to a bustling tourist downtown. Easily a 10-min walk to nearest BART which I like doing every morning. Alternatively I also took the bus to downtown which is just a couple of minutes walk. I also like that Bernal Hill is just a 7-min hike and I love the view of SF from there.
The room is used feels luxurious with comfy bed and pillows. Clean sheets and towels. The shared bathroom is nice too!
Thanks, Scott, for being a good host. I will want to stay at your place again when I get back for a longer stay. I appreciate your kindness. Cheers!
Christopher was an excellent host to my friend and I during our stay at his place. We kind of screwed up our date of arrival in SF and it turned out that we booked Chris' place a day later. We only realised our mistake when we arrived at his place, 11 at night. Chris was kind enough to let us stay despite not having booked our stay for that night. We were truly grateful for his kindness.
Our stay at his place has been eventful. Chris went out his way to make sure our stay not only of comfort but also an enjoyable one. We were shown a few interesting places nearby Bernal Heights and Mission district (the night view on top of bernal hill is phenomenal, btw) and we got Chris to thank for that experience. He also encouraged us to stay another night for free, just so we can experience 'Day of the Dead' held at Mission area.
All in all, the room was cozy and comfortable. The area is fantastic for travellers to explore. Chris was an awesome host. Highly recommended for a short AND lond stay.
I stayed at Scott's house again while I was in San Francisco. As always, the house was very relaxed and clean. Scott is great. I enjoyed my stay there, and very much recommend the rooms.
