A lovely, quiet apartment in NOPA, the flat is spacious with 2 bedrooms, a sunny kitchen, cozy living room, quiet reading nook, and 1.5 baths. On the third floor of a three-floor building, the walk-up unit has several skylights and is full of light all day. There is a deck off the reading nook, which gets great sun in the mornings...perfect to wake up with a cup of coffee. You can also venture down the back steps to a beautiful shared backyard and garden.
You will have access to: wifi, television, cable, kitchen accouterments (pots, tools, spices, etc.), laundry facilities, and bathroom amenities.
Part of being in the Airbnb community is treating my home as though it were your own. So, please do not access rooms, closets, or dressers that are labeled “PRIVATE”. I’d also ask that you not borrow or use anything not specified as an amenity without asking me first.
Please contact me with any issues or questions by phone. Otherwise, I will try to give you as much privacy as possible. I may, on occasion, need to stop by the flat to pick something up, but will let you know by phone/text in advance.
NoPa (which stands for North of Panhandle) is one of the hippest neighborhoods in San Francisco. The New York Times recently wrote up the 'hood, calling it "the next Mission — just leafier and more low-key." The flat is in the middle of it all. This means it is one block off of Divisadero, the main thoroughfare and one block from the Panhandle, one block wide that links up to Golden Gate Park.
Within just a few blocks there are amazing restaurants (NOPA, Nopalita, The Wine Kitchen, La Urbana, Ragazza, Bar Crudo, Little Star Pizza, the Little Chihuahua); cute cafes (The Mill, Peets, Mojo, Vinyl, The Matching Half); fun shops (San Franpsycho, A Rare Device, Backspace); bars (Mandrone, the Page, the Candy Bar, Fly); The Independent (a great venue for live music); Faletti's Market; and yoga studios (Yoga Loft, Yoga Garden). A Bi-Rite just opened around the corner, so the ice cream choices in the neighborhood just went from good to awesome!
Getting around town is quite convenient from this neighborhood. If you are driving, it's one of the few places with street parking for non-residents. There are multiple mass transit options that get you downtown quickly: (the 21-Hayes is a block away and there is easy access to the 5-Fulton, and N-Judah MUNI line) as well as the 24-Divisadero that runs between the Castro and the Marina.

Amy's apartment was great! Really cute, spacious, great facilities and perfect location. We were two of us staying there and there was plenty of space and privacy for each of us. The decoration is sublime. The flat has everything you need and Amy makes sure to give you all the tips to make your stay comfortable. It is also 5 minutes away from Alamo Square and one step from bars, restaurants and incredible grocery shops in Divisadero St. Couldn't have chosen a better place!
Spacious, clean and nicely furnished flat with free parking in a really nice neighborhood. Most of all I enjoyed the direct access to nice jogging trails in Golden Gate park and bus 21 around the corner providing access to the city center. Amy was very easy going, flexible regarding my requirements and highly responsive even though she was traveling herself during my stay. I can highly recommend this place to other people! Thumbs up and definitly want to return!
Amy's home is lovely, just like the photos! The location is great and one block away from a Peets coffee shop and a fabulous Whole Foods like store. Amy made it all very turn-key with the key in a lock box. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
Absolutely awesome apartment which is even better in real life compared to the already great photos Amy shows in the listing. If you like an apartment which has nice natural light, access to small deck, great location with nearby interesting restaurants and "whole-foods-like supermarket" one block away, this is exactly what you are looking for and you get a lot of value for your money. It is impeccably clean and tidy and Amy has a great sense of decoration and style and keeps Economist and Fast Company and other magazines at hand. Beds are very comfortable and everything in kitchen and bathrooms worked well. Super easy communication with Amy. We (family of four, with two kids 5 and 7) had a great stay. It is apartments like Amy's that make airbnb so much fun.
Amy has a beautiful house in a great neighborhood in SF. It was a comfortable space to hang out in between our exploration trips around the city. We always found a parking space nearby and easy access to the bus when heading downtown.
Amy was fantastic and her place is absolutely beautiful. Safe area to take my mother for her first time in a big city. The building is very secure and Amy was very easy to contact. The check-in and check out was a breeze and I would highly recommend her place! Thanks for a wonderful stay Amy!
Our family was in SF for a family wedding. There was a myriad of activity planed , but staying at Amy's home was a highlight of the weekend. We loved the neighborhood used public trans and used the local restaurants . Our family members wished they'd been so creative in lodging as they were in an expensive and small roomed hotel. Thank you Amy for the experience and showing us a new part of the city we love. Chip , Jan and Brandt Bates
Terrific well-lit apartment in a splendid neighborhood. Amy has exquisite design taste and the apt is stocked with everything you might need. Can't ask for much more. Had a lovely time.
Amy's apartment was bright, spacious and a perfect location! Coordinating was super easy as well. She even left us a yummy pie which we shared with our office mates :) We will be back!!
