Stable Cottage in rural Kildare

Cabin - Entire home/apt · Kildare, Kildare, Ireland

Stable Cottage is a cute space in a lovely place! It has a double futon bed on the mezzanine level and downstairs are 2 small double beds. 45 minutes from Dublin Airport in the heart of Kildare, we are a good gateway spot for a trip around Ireland.

The Space

Our Stable cottage is part of our little stable block next to our house (equine folk are not in residence!). It is a charming space decorated in a fresh, chic style. The accommodation comprises of a large futon style bed up a ladder staircase in the loft above the living area and 2 smaller queen size beds downstairs which would suit 1/2 adults or 2 kids.

The cottage will be all yours during your stay and has a small kitchen space in the living area with a sink, kettle, fridge, microwave and toaster. Alternatively, we can provide breakfast (Coffee/Tea, toast, Muesli and Cereal).

While situated in idyllic rural countryside, we are just off the M9 Motorway and are only 40 minutes from Dublin. Our nearest village is lovely Kilcullen which has a bus service, shops, pubs and restaurants. We are also next door to Rathsallagh Hotel and Golf Club which is a great place to golf or eat in.

Our cottage is special because it has a bit of style, beautiful views and is in a great location.

  • Siobhan was a fabulous host! So accommodating and friendly. The place was lovely to stay in. Charming and quaint, not to mention not a sound at night which led to a great nights sleep. All the essentials were there to make it a very pleasant stay. Would highly recommend!

  • Great location if you are attending a wedding in Rathsallagh.
Siobhan is a really hospitable host and the converted stable is really lovely. It would be spacious for two, and ideal for three.
The only drawback is the lack of taxis in the area to get back from Rathsallagh, but if you have it arranged in advance, Popplewell's is ideal - clean, warm and cosy.

  • We had a wonderful 2 nights at the cottage, they were helpful with everything from directions to a great place to eat. The cottage was adorable and comes highly recommended for relaxing and as a place to to see the irish countryside from, it is every bit as nice as the photos let on.

  • Siobhan and Jason were great, I made the booking last minute but they made sure that they were ready for us and still provided a great place to stay.
I'd definitely recommend staying here, it was one of the best nights sleep that I'd had in a while. Super comfy bed and so peaceful.

  • I booked the stable cottage as I was attending a wedding in Rathsallagh and I couldn't have picked a better place. Siobhan was really friendly and went above and beyond what you would expect from a host. The cottage has everything you could possible need, including the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in and a fully equipped kitchen! Siobhan dropped us up to the wedding venue, left breakfast for us the next morning and allowed us a very late check out. I would recommend the cottage for a relaxing holiday and hope to be back soon! Thanks Siobhan, it was a real pleasure.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights in this very nice cottage.
It's having quite some charm, beautiful views all around it.
There are loads of nice fields with trees, horses and funny cows in the surroundings, too.
Hosts Siobhan & Jason have been wonderful and did really everything to make us having a great stay.
They also have a supercute little dog - J.R. - who kept watching over us all the time : )

    Would definitely go there again!

  • This si the perfect little getaway that is in the middle of nowhere with lovely countryside but at the same time a very short drive to Dublin and Naas. This would make the perfect place to stay for a small family or a couple wanting to get away from it all. I was able to play golf, have long walks with my dogs (which are allowed) and relax while still working with good internet. Great hosts and would strongly reccommend staying here. The kitchen is small and you probably won't cook a lot there but there are some excellent pubs and the golf club also has great food. Country living at its best

I think I am an outgoing, optimistic and creative person. I enjoy interiors, art and fashion and going out with family and friends. I am also a loving! wife and and mother of two children and I love where we live. I spent many years in cities and really love to visit them but this is right for us now. I work as an Organiser of Naas Farmers Market on Saturdays which is a great place to visit but I am looking forward to travelling more with Airbnb! My husband Jason works for Lily O'Briens Chocolate company which our children can't quite believe! We love horse riding, rugby and tennis and going horse racing. Our favourite holidays are usually in Ireland - Dunmore East is our holiday spot but we also like to go to Ile de Re in France if we can. I'll tell you about it when you come.. My Life Motto? 'You reap what you sow'..
