I'm now in Surabaya. It has been almost more than two weeks after I left Jogja. To me, Evi's place was just Jogja itself and will be. At first, I expected to meet Evi when I made a reservation but place actually has been managed by Pupun, her younger brother. Pupun just treated me as his younger sister and did many things for me. He often offered me a motorbike ride to where I had to go to Jl. Sosrowijayan and Malioboro. I appreciated what he did. Pupun and me also talked a lot. Anything could be shared by us. It was so delightful when I recollect those moments. Place was just neat and suitable for any travellers. I liked it. When I was in Semerang and Blora after Jogja, I so suffered from being bitten by mosquitoes. However, I swear in Jogja, in Evi's house, I had never been bitten. That's why I love Jogja. Anyone who wants to feel a friendly atmosphere of local people please go to see Pupun. He is the best host I've ever met. I miss Jogja and absolutely Pupun. I hope I could visit Jogja again in my life time. Maybe next year? Haha. Thank you for your kindness, people in Jogja! Also Evi organized many information for me before staying. Even though I have never met her before, I could imagine how good she is via how she's talking in messages. Peace!!!
Thank you for the kind review. And glad that you liked staying at my place. Probably now you already left from Surabaya.
You are most welcome to visit and hopefully next time we could meet in person :)
I will go to Yogyakarta by end of this year till mid of February 2015. I miss being in Yogyakarta! I can't wait for that.
Take care and Sampai Jumpa!
I needed a place to stay in Yogyakarta and this did the job. It's a basic room with a fan and shared toilet. The toilet was always clean. Don't look for luxury accommodation for the price. The mattress was great and the fan provided did the trick.
It was easy to reach by public transport and walking distance from rail station. The place is situated away from the the busy center but easy enough to reach (dont bother with bus to centre faster to walk)
Evi was amazing with her email response even though she's in the other side of the world. Her brother was there to help but he only knows basic English. They helped looking for tours and even provided a map.
I even got a motorbike ride to the station on my departure, thanks to her brother.
There is toast available to eat.
Thank you for the nice stay :)
Thank you for the kind and positive review, Bahar. I wish that we could meet in person. We'd try our best to make people comfortable staying at our place. We really hope that everyone who comes to visit really does feel this is their 'simple home' away from home. So glad that you enjoyed staying at our simple home. Evi

My name is Evi. I live with my Husband (Eric) in Oklahoma, U.S.A.
I love art, traveling and photography. We understand how people want to get a nice and comfortable place to stay during their short or long staying on a budget, especially in Yogyakarta (City area). Since our house is big enough with few rooms as well as located in the strategic area it would not be hurt to try airbnb to help people to get the affordable place to stay for short or long term period that at the same time I could earn little money for the maintenance. Our place is perfect for younger people that do not have much time with limited budget, yet many places to visit.
I might not be around as I live in the U.S but Pupun or staff will help you all you need.
I do hope that you love staying at our place!
PS. Some of your money will be donated to the Cancer and Schizophrenia Foundation. Let's share our smile to others.
