John was a kind and knowledgeable host who gave us a great recommendation for dinner/dessert, and his place was comfy and clean! We enjoyed our stay very much.
John is lovely and welcoming, and had great advice on where to eat and routes to take. The apartment is adorable - clean and beautiful and cozy. The cold milk and half-and-half to have with morning coffee was a really nice touch. We had a great time.
John's place is awesome! It had everything I needed and then some! Very clean, comfy and cozy as well as private. John helped me with where to go and what to do and was always avail for any questions. I will def stay her again when in Portland.
John's place is exactly as shown in the pictures...clean bright, roomy and so inviting! When we arrived there was coffee and cream ready for the Keurig and fresh daffodils in the main room and bathroom. Lovely! The weather was great when we were there so we got to enjoy the patio with Lily (the cat) every day. I would highly recommend John's place to anyone travelling to Portland.
This was such a sweet little place, and John was super nice and accommodating. Very clean and cutely decorated, the beds where comfortable with nice feather down pillows, and a good shower head! Nice towels too, and fancy coffee maker. Felt like our own little apartment away from home. The only thing I'd say is that the sound of the traffic outside at night was quite load, so I was wishing I had brought ear plugs. But we'd definitely stay here again.
My friend and I hit the airbnb jackpot by choosing John's cozy private guest house! It was our first time using airbnb and we could not be happier with our experience. John was extremely helpful and accommodating. First of all, he gladly picked us up from the airport and on the same day, dropped us off downtown! We had already thought he was a godsend, but he surprised us even further by letting us borrow his car to visit the Multnomah Falls! OK now let's get to the room. The place was spotless and gorgeous. My favorite aspect was that you can really tell that he designed the room to be very relaxing with added amenities such as the wonderful shower head, high tech coffee maker, mini fridge full of water bottles, soft sheets and pillow, satellite tv, and free wifi. His house is close to the bus station. (maybe half a block) That was very convenient. We took it to get to the Max station which then took us downtown. The last thing I wanna mention is John himself. He was so easy going and friendly that it felt as if we had known him far longer than just 3 days. All in all, the whole stay ran as smoothly as possible. I know I'm an airbnb noob but, I HIGHLY recommend John's place to everyone!
I highly recommend John's private guesthouse! John is extremely professional and friendly, and the space is immaculate. The beds are super comfortable, the bathroom is spotless, the television is huge, and there are lots of nice amenities to make you feel at home (coffee maker, etc). Couldn't ask for more!
John is a wonderful host and his place is ideal for short term visits to the Portland area. The private guest house is impeccably clean, well heated with great beds and a great bathroom. A fridge and Keurig coffee maker also help to make the guesthouse a comfortable! John was so helpful in indicating good places to eat and shop, as well as how to take advantage of Portland's public transport. There is a bus stop immediately adjacent to the house, and there are a number of food and grocery locations within a couple of stops. The 2-mile running loop across the street from John's place is also a fantastic place to exercise or stroll. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and will be looking John up again next time we are staying in Portland!
John is king of B&B. He's a wonderful person and a very friendly host. He takes pains to ensure comfort for his guests and goes out of his way to help in every possible way. His place is immaculate, very clean, cozy and it felt like we were in our own home. We can't thank him enough for his hospitality and accommodation. We'd definitely live at his guest house during all our future stays in Portland. Thank you airbnb for this great experience and Hats Off to you, John.
This place was amazing! John was very friendly and pleasant. Room had everything I could have hoped for.
