About this listing
Great neighborhood ! Amazing restaurants, bars, cafés, music scene... Not too expensive. And you'll feel just like home in my flat. Easy transportation to go anywhere in Paris.
Mini loft between la Bastille and Père Lachaise.
There's a direct bus ride to the Louvre and Metro Charonne is only two blocks away
There are Many restaurants, bars and food stores just around the corner. Great bakeries and wine stores
The street we're on is really quiet yet we're a five minute walk from rue de charonne with all its different bars and restaurants. It's a fun neighborhood very parisian and young
The flat is Cosy, quiet, well ventilated and very bright.
It's on the 5th floor with a small lift to the 4th floor
It's Spacious despite its triangularity (645 sq ft on the ground)
A working kitchen, a full bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. There's a washing machine and a dryer
And wireless internet connexion
It's ideal for two, though there's an alcove with another full bed
The neighborhood is very nice, with many good restaurants if you go down Charonne towards Bastille. I recommend a Vietnamese restaurant called Paris-Hanoi and a very French cafe called Pause Café. Both are on rue Charonne, at about a 5-10 minutes walk.
What is very practical is to take the bus 76 that goes directly to the Louvre and brings you in the center of Paris.
I've been studying in Montreal so I'm really happy to rent out my flat while I'm away!
You will have access to :
- everything there is in the flat !
- You can everything you need in the area. There are a bunch of supermarkets, but also very good cheese, wine, meat, fruits and vegetables shops. There are also a bunch a open air markets. One called Le Marché d'Aligre (close to Bastille and very cheep).
Interaction with Guests
I try to be there to welcome my guests the most possible. But I'm a band manager so I have to travel quite a lot. I'm always reachable very fast on my cellphone or by email...
I think my neighborhood is one of the best... No really it is great because life is not too expensive co,pared to the center of the city. Also, I love the people living in this area. Very multi cultural and alive ! Bars, cafés, restaurants are cool. You will also find quite some great places to listen to live music and to go out at night. Places I have marked on the airbnb guide ;)
Public transport gets you everywhere in Paris. Bus 76 that goes on rue de Charonne crosses Paris from east to west. With it you can go to Bastille, the Marais (St Paul stop) and the Louvres directly.
Also metro line 9, goes to Republic and the Champs Elysées.
And line 2 goes to Pigalle and close to Montmartre.
House rules are more than simple! I leave the flat nice and clean and I'm happy to find it the way I left it for you!
It makes the whole experience more fun
Myself and two friends stayed in Pablo's apartment twice during our visit to France. We loved it so much that the second time we stayed there, we extended our visit.
The apartment is in a very cool location. It is very close to 'Septine', one of the best restaurants in Paris. There are lots of great bars/restaurants nearby. The train station is less than 5 minutes walk away which makes it really easy to get everywhere.
The apartment is light-filled and has everything you need. The beds are both really comfortable. It was really nice to be able to open up the skylights and let fresh air in. We particularly enjoyed spending time reading in the large hammock!
Pablo was very friendly, helpful and extremely generous. We could not recommend this apartment more. I am very much looking forward to visiting again!!
This place is a dream. We arrived hot and sweaty from bustling Paris to an oasis. From the rainwater shower to the Nespresso machine, air-conditioning/heating & smart TVs, this house is incredibly modern and has everything that you could possibly want for a French country-side escape. The photos don't do it justice- this property is incredible!
We spent much of our time swimming/sitting by the pool and exploring the beautiful gardens. Once you get here you won't want to leave. Phillipe and Sylvie were extremely welcoming and helpful hosts and were quick to respond to our messages & requests. They even provided us with a simcard so that we could contact each other. We were given bikes to rise and Phillipe promptly fixed one when we were having difficulty with it.
We are very much looking forward to bringing family/friends back with us next time we visit this gorgeous cottage. This experience is not to be missed!
El aprtamento es muy acogedor. Situado en un barrio muy tranquilo pero bien ubicado. Es muy luminoso. Desde luego si volvemos a paris, repetiremosm
This is a great little spot. We had a communications glitch right before we got there, and weren’t sure where our host was, but seems like life threw him a curve-ball. We met up and were able to come to an agreement and the rest of the stay was fantastic.
When you’re away from home one of the things you worry about is having a good sleep -- we used the main bed and slept very well! We didn’t eat at the place, only used the mini-fridge (European style) for leftovers. We felt safe in the area, and enjoyed some of the shops locally too. This is the top floor (6 flights of stairs) or a small (and I mean tiny) elevator, giving the flat a cool attic-type of atmosphere.
The place is close to the train (took us about 1.5 hrs from CDG airport, probably faster if this wasn’t our first time), Metro (buses) are a few blocks away too, but we found that we could walk to plenty of shops and attractions too. And we did!
Wifi was another great feature. It allowed us to Yelp! the best in the area, although Pablo had suggestions too.
If given the opportunity, we’d come again!
Pablo's flat was great, quiet and cosy. I loved the neighborhood, shopped for meat, cheese, bread and wine around the corner and explored the east side of Paris, Pere Lachaise, Buttes Chaumont. Was a very enjoyable short stay!
This is a wonderful flat on the top floor of a building in a great neighborhood.
If you get some time to spend in the flat itself just hanging out, you feel you're in a priviledged position high above everything else. Even though it's open-plan in layout, there are two sleeping areas, as well as a couch for relaxing on.
There are several rooftop windows you can open to allow as much airflow as you want, which is a lovely advantage on a spring evening. Being so high up, the street noise is not very noticeable, whereas you may wake to hear birds in the morning.
There's a small lift from 1/2 a floor up, to 1/2 floor below the top level, so most of your journey is taken care of.
Overall a great flat, and the host is Pablo is very nice and helpful, and he even spent some time with us initially, offering a small tour of the neighborhood, which was a good way to get oriented quickly.
