We were in Toronto for a family wedding and Vinita and Joe's centrally located home was a very good base of operations for the five of us - my husband and I, our adult daughter and my sister and brother in law. The house was comfortable and clean and had 'good vibes' and we enjoyed our five day stay - even in the middle of January. Though the house was warm inside, I imagine it would be even more appealing to stay there in warmer weather (sitting on the front porch, strolling through the neighbourhood). We had a chance to meet our hosts when we first arrived and they warmly welcomed us and showed us around.
We stayed in the lower level apartment for four months, August to December 2013, and we've had a great time. The place is very nice and well maintained with an equipped kitchen and large bathroom. The apartment has everything we needed for our longer stay. Joe and Vinita were perfect hosts: We could always come up for questions or just to chat, and during our stay they even made some furniture improvements in the apartment to make it even more comfortable, like new lamps, and extra shelfs in the walk-in closet.
The location further is perfect, the street is quiet though around the corner you can find many shops and restaurants at college street. Public transportation is good as well. The university is only 10 minutes away, and in case you think about cycling, there are many good bikelanes in the area.
All in all a great place, hosts and location that we highly recommend and would come back to if we visit Toronto again!
We had a lovely time at Vinita and Joe's house. We were in town for our son's wedding and the location couldn't be more perfect for all the little errands we had to to do in the week leading up to the big day. We met Vinita and her adorable baby briefly but . communicated via email and phone. There were some changes from the photos but for the better! Newer furniture and dining room now devoted to children play.
Our daughters joined us for a few days and the house accommodated us all very comfortably, contributing to a wonderful family reunion and wedding. Thank you Vinita and Joe!
I had it for a whole week (7 nights). The place was clean, beautiful and in a great location.
Unfortunately, I couldn't meet the hosts as they were not there, but anyway the communication was good.
Vinita and Joe have a lovely home in Little Italy, which is a really pleasant part of Toronto to stay in. They couldn't have been more accommodating, and made things very easy for us.
The reservation was canceled 22 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This house has a very comfortable, lived in feeling. It was clean and the location is central and walking distance from many cafés and restaurants, not to mention a really nice neighborhood. The bedrooms are on separate floors which let our third guest sleep soundly when our baby woke up at night. Vinita and Joe were very sweet and helpful.
