Welcome to our 50 acre country retreat! With about 30 acres of cleared land and 20 acres of woods all adjoining the famous Kal-Haven Trail which links South Haven and Kalamazoo, you will enjoy the outstanding views from your own private yard with bonfire pit, picnic table, and propane grill and even your own private balcony.

The front half of our duplex has three bedrooms, a bedroom "nook" with one twin bed, living/dining area, and its own bathroom and a full hickory kitchen.

The space
In the back of the property is our private campground with ten cabins, bathhouse, and plenty of space to walk on the roads leading to and from. Feel free to utilize the community fire pits located around the large community space, join in on the fun when we have a local band playing, or simply retire to your own abode extraordinarily well-insulated from all of the noise. There is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy!

The manager of the entire property lives in the old renovated farmhouse just steps away from the small campground store stocked with all of the essentials so he is always available for prompt attention to any of your special requests. Or you can simply sit back and enjoy all that this country estate has to offer when it comes to natural beauty.

The sunrises and sunsets are truly something that words cannot describe! Stargazers beware: you will need more than one weekend to take in all that this night sky has to offer!

The Kal-Haven Trail connects South Haven and Kalamazoo. During the winter, snowmobiles are welcome on the trail. Otherwise, no motorized vehicles are allowed. Horses, however, are available through other local community members. They are more than welcome on the trail!

You have the right to access any part of the front half of the duplex and any common area associated with the property. Please do not enter the garage or shed where the tools, tractor, and lumber is located. We try to keep those things organized!

Really, we can be available as often as you would like or not at all. Just let us know how we can make your stay as comfortable as possible! We love living here and love sharing it with others--there is so much to go around!

There really aren't many properties with so much to offer within such a local proximity to downtown South Haven. From the property, you can get to countless wineries, breweries (a little farther but you can ride your bike!), the beaches, stores, and restaurants of SoHa, the local butcher shop, and end the day by looking up at all of the many stars! The light pollution in downtown SoHa might seem minimal, but just wait until you see this!

There is plenty of parking. You can get around in your car for the most part--but we really recommend using the Kal-Haven Trail. We usually have bikes that you can rent, just let us know ahead of time what sizes and how many!

South Haven is well-known for its small-town feel and its beautiful beaches. This is also wine country--although more breweries are popping up every year!
