A charming, completely renovated, 18th century house in the heart of Lisbon. There is a comfortable bedroom, a living room, a small open kitchen (with fridge, microwave, toaster and juice presser) and a bathroom. You will also find a washer/dryer and wireless internet in the house.
The house is located in the best area of the oldest quarter of Lisbon, Bairro do Castelo. Nearby you will be able to admire one of the most spectacular views over the city, from the Mirador de Santa Luzia. This neighborhood is located in the hill opposite Bairro Alto and is very calm, safe, well connected and close to museums, monuments and leisure areas. This cosy flat is surrounded by history, only 200m away from Lisbon's Cathedral, 100m from the Roman Theatre ruins, and 50m from the famous tram number 28 that you can catch to go up a small hill to the end of the street and find the amazing castle that named this area.

We met Juan as an very friendly and helpful host and the apartment was wonderful. A very nice and cozy place right in the middle of everything. It was a perfect place to stay and explore beautiful Lissboa.
We had great days at Juans Appartement!! He was very helpful and reliable. The flat was very clean and nice furnished/equipped at a perfect spot in Lisbon!
I stayed in Juan's apartment for four days. I can recommend Juan's apartment to anyone who is looking to stay in Lisbon. The apartment is conveniently located in Alfama extremely close to the castle and perfectly positioned for an exploration of Alfama's many back streets. The apartment was clean and welcoming. Juan is an excellent host who will do everything to ensure that you enjoy your stay in his apartment and in this beautiful city. If you are planning on going to Lisbon Juan and this apartment have my full recommendation.
Rua das Damas 14 Lisbon is a very central location in a quiet area. The little flat is in two level in a probably 300-year-old house. It is renovated very sensitivity. There is only app. 300 m. to the famous tram no 28!
We were happy for staying there and the landlord Juan is very helpful and polite.
We can recommend the flat, but be aware that there is a staircase to the sleeping room.
The appartment is located in the old, cosy part of town. It's easy to walk to the city centre. A quite and clean appartment! If your're going to Lisboa, I recommend Juan's place :)
We loved staying in this little apartment. There is all the equipment you need. It was very, very clean when we arrived. It is situated in a very quiet alley, but very close to restaurants, cafes and a lot of sights and to public transportation. And a funny experience to stay in a room with the door right into the alley. In the back of the room there are 8 steep steps leading up to the bedroom level with a very comfortable bed. But If you are more than 6 feet high or suffer from claustrofobia you might feel the room too small due to the low ceiling. Juan himself was away when we were there but his friend Joao took very good care of everything. He checked on us now and then to hear if everything was alright and gave us good information on fx the elevator down the street leading down to the supermarket and the lower part of the city. We stayed for seven days and loved every one of them.
The flat is really well located, and is extremely close to the very touristic tram 28. It's also close to nice panoramas. This exceptional location was a huge plus for our trip.
Juan and Joao were fantastic hosts, and their advice were really helpful to know a bit more than what we can find on Lisbon guides.
The flat is not a 5 star hotel, but we weren't looking for that. It's an old place that has been renewed, and it's not always easy to adapt a bathroom, a kitchen, and fit stairs in such a tiny place. It was not technically perfect, but definitely charming.
Anyway, if you're looking for a well located cosy place, don't hesitate and go there.
I can not imagine a better place to stay in Lisbon. Not luxurious, but in the heart of everything, right by the castle. So close that we were able to break in to the castle for an evening Gala and overlook the entire city.
Juan is also a fantastic host, thoughtful, nearby, and helpful. So fantastic.
