Photos of our beautiful neighborhood (deer) and great walking on trails and dirt roads in nearby Bass Lake. All seasons are wonderful in our mountain community. Each month has special events in town and in Yosemite. Very quiet evenings with only crickets, frogs, and coyotes talking. Star gazing a must do. Bird Watchers report below - bring your binoculars.
There are a variety of restaurants - Italian, Steakhouse, Cajun, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Fast Food, Fish House, Brewery, Hamburger/Cafes at Bass Lake (3 miles from home). Small gift shops and clothing stores along Highway 41 in Oakhurst. Two large food markets in Oakhurst - Vons and Raleys. No public transportation.
My house is always full of love with family and friends. I enjoy having company and learn about other parts of the world.

Beautiful home. Warm and hospitable hosts. Very enjoyable in every way. Thank you Rich and Susan for wonderful breakfasts, large quiet accommodations and your travel ideas as well. We really enjoyed our stay in your home!
It was such a great stay. After one Day we feel like home. Our son Lionel likes Susan and Rich from the first time and we too. It is a beautiful house and the room is beautiful too. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We loved our stay with Susan and Rich, and I think it's safe to say this has been my favorite airbnb experience thus far. They made it very easy for us to check in while they were out for the afternoon and even left us a welcome basket with Yosemite guides, water bottles, and a few snacks. Our first night there, Susan invited us to a bbq she was having with friends and family, and even though we arrived just in time to catch everyone as they were leaving, we got to sit down with Susan and Rich, eat some of the delicious food they had cooking in their smoker, and learn a little more about each other. They were also nice enough to provide us with breakfast both mornings we were there. The room itself was really the attic/her workspace (she makes lovely mosaics!), and it was huge. Susan really enjoys being an airbnb host and makes a point to get to know her guests. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Yosemite or other nearby attractions, and it's only a 30 min drive to the south entrance gate (though you should add another ~45 mins for Yosemite Valley)!
Christina - You can do my marketing - we appreciate your kind words. I hope you know how much I enjoy my job - Air bnb - it is what I get from my guests that make it special. We mailed your battery package so it should be there by today.
Thank You Susan, Rich and Peanut
My boyfriend and I had a fabulous Valentine's weekend staying with Susan and Rich! The room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean, and they helped us navigate Yosemite as only locals can! After a day of hiking (which started with a yummy complimentary breakfast!), we enjoyed playing with their dog, Peanut Butter, hot-tubbing under the (amazing) stars, and saying hello to the goats. We'll be back!
Susan is an amazing host and she has a beautiful home. She treated us very well and made sure we were comfortable. Home was very clean and the room was perfect. Everything about this experience at her home was excellent and I don't think anything else could have been done to make it better. I really appreciate Susan's hospitality and I recommend this place to anyone who decides to visit the area. When I visit again, I would not want to stay anywhere else!
Susan and Rich were one of the nicest couples we have ever met. They were incredibly helpful with directions and recommendations, etc., but talking with them was a wonderful part of the trip. Susan made us breakfast on our final day and it was awesome, as well as the homemade cinnamon rolls.
The room is HUGE and has a super comfortable king bed that was perfect after a long day of hiking. The property is enormous and had plenty of room for our dog to run around and even bark at goats and a horse! The house is beautiful and very nicely decorated. The neighboring houses are pretty far away so its very peaceful but does make driving to town take a bit longer.
Susan was extremely accommodating. She was also very understanding when my girlfriend and I were arriving later than anticipated. Overall her private suite exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend! Thanks again!
