This is a charming little place, if you don't mind being off-the beaten track. It's two blocks from where pedestrians are, and one night I encountered two guys, one who was peeing. There weren't any issues, but it wasn't my ideal scenario. The room I had was fine (the largest one), though the hot water needs 5-10 minutes before you shower. There's daily housekeeping, and an on-site restaurant for breakfast, both of which were a pleasant surprise, and Natascha makes an amazing loaf of bread. The pool is tiny, but very pretty. The biggest issue I had was with a group of travelers, who swam two nights at 3 a.m., and my room was right next to the pool. They were also doing some kind of craft, and hammering. There's no one one on site, so it was up to me to deal with this. Hopefully most people are more considerate, but if you're very noise-sensitive, ask for a room on the top floor.

Just as advertised. Natasha takes care of any issues you may have and is very helpful and responsive. Daily maid service was excellent. Pool and common areas very clean and enjoyable. She also owns/runs Tonio's restaurant attached to the hotel. I did not eat there but she bakes bread daily and you can buy a loaf of good, grainy, dense bread from her. You will not find better bread in Zihua.

Wonderful 2-week vacation in Zihua and Quinta Camelina! We loved the location. We walked over the hill to Playa La Ropa almost daily with plenty of opportunities to jog along the canal or on the beach. It was an easy walk to neighborhood and in-town restaurants or to jump on the bus or combi to outer beaches. Quinta Camelina is quaint with a full communal kitchen and fresh water for drinking. The photo is a bit brighter than in reality as it may be a few years old, but the pool is just what is needed after a long hot day. Natascha is a great host. We had a couple of problems our first night and she was very accommodating by letting us switch rooms and always willing to share information. The location is safe and secure and on a quiet dead-end road. An added bonus was Tonio's, their newly opened restaurant. Fresh fruits, juices, home-made breads and marmalades, and both European and Mexican breakfasts. Simple, fresh and delicious; Antonio makes everything to perfection while Natascha bakes the bread. Management and staff are always cheerful, warm, and helpful for our daily needs and practicing Spanish. We look forward to returning and telling our friends about this hidden gem.

Natascha was a lovely host. She was very friendly and had extensive knowledge about the area. Her small hotel was very charming and delightful. We loved the decor and the refreshing pool. We met several other guests who we became friends with. The Quinta Camelinas was located in a Mexican family neighborhood near a small grocery, 2 different beaches and lots of shopping. We enjoyed being centrally situated. We do hope to return next year. Fondly, Fran and John
