Our first Airbnb experience was a great one. Ed and Kim are extremely welcoming hosts. They are very friendly, helpful, easy going - and always approachable e.g. for advice on things to do, places/restaurants to go.
The apartment is very nice and clean and equipped with everything needed to make us feel at home. Being able to use the patio (and gas BBQ) was great, too. And we much appreciated the use of the bikes - a great way to get around in Vancouver.
The house is in a nice, safe and quiet residential area, and greatly located: close to shops, restaurants etc. on Hastings and/or Commercial Drive, easy and quick to go Downtown - or indeed anywhere else - by bike or bus (bus stop is just around the corner).
We had a wonderful 5 weeks there - and would definitely go back.
We had the pleasure of staying with Ed and Kim for 2 months and it was a wonderful experience! Their home is perfectly situated just blocks from Commercial Drive and blocks from Hastings St. This makes it very convenient for walking to get groceries and going to restaurants. The suite is small but well-kept and functional. Ed and Kim were so helpful and always around with a smile or joke. I know we have made life-long friends with them! Thanks for an amazing summer!
We had a fantastic stay and Ed and Kim were very friendly and approachable hosts, we were even invited to thanksgiving dinner with them and their lovely family. We stayed a month and the place provided a comfortable stay as well as a good place to get out and see stuff from with a bus stop right outside. I would recommend taking advantage of the bikes as it is a great way to see a lot in a short space of time. Biking around Stanley Point and back was easy as the city is relatively flat.. definitely worth doing! If you like Ice Hockey, the Giants play at the Pacific Coliseum which is about 20-25 mins walk and great value for money.
My first Air B n B experience was definitely a good/smooth one. Kim n Ed's place was very clean, comfortable, and private. The location was a definite plus, lending itself to me experiencing an area, I did not know existed. The hosts were most accommodating, friendly and very helpful with basic questions that I had. It was a great stay and would return if it's available.
Our stay with Ed and Kim was very nice. The suite is very nice and located within an easy walk to many great spots.
I had a fantastic stay at Kim and Ed's place. They were awesome hosts. Really friendly and full of great suggestions. They worked out what I was interested in and their suggestions were spot on. I loved Kitsilano, the Grouse Grind, Stanley Park and everything else I did in Vancouver.
Kim was so helpful looking up ways to get places for me, printing out directions and ringing people to make sure she was telling me the easiest way.
The apartment was very cool, spotlessly clean, great kitchen, most comfortable bed I have slept in (that includes my one at home), and really nice lounge/living room to relax in. Really nice to be able to grind fresh coffee (Kim and Ed supplied the beans and grinder). Thanks Kim and Ed for the bus pass (really thoughtful thing to do) and the loan of the bike, big bonus to have the use of them.
It was a great holiday and I would have loved to stay for longer!
