  • This was our first booking on Airbnb. Everything was as advertised. We did not get the chance to meet "Marina" as her friend Natasha met us to give us the keys and instructions. "Marina" was very responsive to any questions that we had. It was really nice to, after a number of weeks traveling, have enough space to unpack our luggage and re-sort it. The Apartment has plenty of hanging room and nice spaces for putting cloths in.

The location is very good for getting around Athens being well served by busses, trams and metro. The apartment is as quiet as any and sleep quality was good. Being next to the Archeological Museum is a big plus, we got there at opening time, came back to the apartment for lunch and a siesta, then went back till closing time and we still did not see everything.

The surrounding area was "interesting". Athens has a lot of graffiti and that can be off-putting at first, however as you walk around the area behind the Museum, you find some nice squares and nice, inexpensive, non-tourist restaurants and cafes. Our Favorite was Ex Arxis.

Before we arrived we read the house manual and were a little concerned about the hot water. We had no problems at all and always had enough for two showers and dishes, the water kept hot till the next day.

Overall we had a great time in Athens.

  • We had a wonderful time in the apartment! It is very central, the old city, Acropolis, etc. all in walking distance, yet placed in a more bohemian student district beside the Archeological Museum. It had everything we needed in terms of airconditioning, washing machine, coffee machine, internet. Natassa was available for us when we needed her, however, some enquiries could have been preemptied by her explaining some things with more detail (one key was missing, the door had a trick to operate it, the second bike did not work). The best feature is undoubtedly the common roof terrace with a view over the whole city, including the lit up Acropolis at night time. Very romantic. We would come back any time!

  • Rosalina and her mother were very gracious and kind. They waited for us for hours on the day we landed because we did not have a phone and couldn't call her to inform her of our delay. They were very sweet and it was a pleasure to meet them.

The apartment is a lovely place in a location that was perfect for everything we needed. It is very tastefully decorated and is exactly as the pictures depict. I loved the cute glass shower area! The kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed over the 12 days that we spent there. Rosalina was even kind enough to stock some tea bags and sugar, which was perfect for that first day that we landed after a long flight :)

The view from the rooftop of course, is the best in Athens! The Acropolis all lit up in the night is beautiful and it is great to have that view right from your apartment. Only other way to see that is to climb up one of the hills at night.

The apartment is very safe and quiet. There is a key to the main building entrance and then one for the apartment itself. My husband and I were working from the apartment while we were in Athens and were very pleased with the excellent internet connection and the general comfort of the home.

The apartment is right next to the Archaeological Museum. I liked that it was not right at Syntagma with all the traffic and crowds, but it was a quick walk to almost anywhere that you wanted to go to. There are buses right next to the museum and the Metro station is less than ten minutes away on foot.

We will most definitely go back if we are ever in Athens again!

Marina was not there, but another girl was there for the explanation; but is was done in two minutes !

Kitchen is too small to cook

    Wi-Fi did not work

    smell of sewage

mattress is hard, is just on shelves -- at the morning neck pain and back pain when standing up

  • We had a nice time in this apartment. It's exactly how it looks like in the pictures. it's really close to everything, we went walking to many places but if you want you can take the metro which is really close to the apartment.
Unluckily our only problem was that (because of an issue in the zone) we didn't have any internet, which was a little uncomfortable for us, considering we arrived kind of late and we didn't know how to move around the city, etc. But Rosalina and Natassa both tried really hard to fix the problem, it wasn't on their hands though. Rosalina offered us a couple of free days in the apartment as a compensation and we are really greatful about it :)!
Anyway the apartment is beautiful and we would come back anytime!

  • Rosalina's place is perfect for a long or short stay (I stayed for the month) - a full kitchen for cooking, modern bathroom, bedroom, salon, and even a washing machine! Close enough to walk to everything in Athens center, and a beautiful building, complete with a beautiful rooftop view. You will enjoy!
