About This Listing
This charming house has everything you'll need for a weekend in ATX! Great indoor and outdoor living spaces, plus it's a 10 min. walk to Barton Springs, a 15 min walk to Zilker Park (ACL Fest), and 20 mins walking to downtown for SXSW.
The master suite has a queen sized bed, a large walk-in shower, and a gorgeous clawfoot bathtub. The guest room has a comfy double bed, and the baby's nursery can be outfitted with a tall queen-sized inflatable bed (see pics, it's quite nice). There's also room for inflatable mattresses to be in the two living rooms. This house is baby-equipped in case you're traveling with a little one! Our dining table seats 8. We've got a 40" flatscreen HDTV in case you want to stay in and veg after a long day at the festivals, and off-street parking for three cars.
Laundry on site, high speed internet, central AC, fully equipped kitchen, baby gear (if needed), all the comforts of home.
This is quirky 'old Austin' at its best, and it is so close to everything. And we REALLY mean close. Restaurants, bars, the Alamo Drafthouse, the trail around Ladybird Lake (aka Town Lake). Barton Springs is a 10 minute walk. The front gate of ACL Festival is 16 minutes. Downtown by the river is 19-22 minutes, depending on how fast you move.
Our house really is walkable to just about anywhere, and the times we quote are for real. But if you don't feel like hoofing it, the house is just around the corner from the bus that takes you directly to downtown and up to campus, so getting around without a car is easy as pie.

Please no smoking, and no big parties. We just ask that you treat our home as you would want somebody to treat your own place if they were staying there.
Cheasty and Hansen were very gracious hosts and their home was perfect for our needs. The house is located in a cute neighborhood and was convenient for SXSW. We really enjoyed all of the nearby (walking-distance) restaurants and amenities. We would gladly stay in their home again.
We loved staying here! Cheasty was an impeccable host: warm, responsive, kind and thoughtful. She reached out to us prior to the trip and provided all details for the house that we could have needed. We had a group of six staying at the house for ACL. The house had plenty of space for all of us, a big outdoor area and is walking distance from Zilker Park. We also were able to walk to different restaurants, bars, convenience stores - pretty much everything you could need is walking distance. The house is as lovely as the hosts!
We stayed for 6 nights during SXSW. The house is terrific. New kitchen, an updated bathroom, very clean. The neighborhood is very quiet and we always felt safe, even walking back from downtown in the WAY early morning.
Our only concern about the house was getting to-and-from downtown for screenings and panels, but we were able to find cabs (even at 3am) to bring us home, and pedi-cabs got us well-within walking distance for about $20 when we were in a pinch.
The owners were awesome and always available to answer questions we had.
Truly a great, seamless, simple, wonderful experience for us.
We stayed during the ACL festival and to choose this place was the key to spend an exceptional weekend in Austin. Very very nice house, big, clean and located in an extreamly convenient place, less than 10 minutes walking from Zilker park.
The owners were very kind and helpful.
About the Host, Cheasty
We are Hansen and Cheasty Anderson (and our two little baby daughters!). We have worked hard to remodel this home we bought in the heart of Austin's famous Zilker neighborhood, and we're proud to offer it as a temporary home to visitors coming to visit our city. We will list it for all major festivals, but are open to inquiries year-round. If it seems like a place you'd like to stay, just send us a message and we'll see if we can make it work!
