Interaction with Guests

I'm a clean person and rarely if ever home and would prefer for the place to stay tidy, your room is your business but would prefer for the common space to stay looking nice. I'm easy to get along with. I do like to go out occasionally on the weekends, but typically during the week it's pretty low key...work, dinner, gym.

Personally I do not drink nor party at home and usually in bed before midnight. If you are a heavy partier and typically stay up late watching TV and listening to music then we may not be suitable for each other.

Other Things to Note

Please note we are in the process of refurnishing the whole apartment. The furniture may be different but the entire setting would remain the same. We will update the photos as we go.

In addition, no smoke no pet in the house(allergic). Preferable no shoes in the house, we will provide slippers. Please keep the house clean.

  • David was a great host, the communication with him was very good. As he was not there, his friend handed us the key and explained the apartment to us. His place is very clean and cozy and there is a separate bathroom. The location is pretty central. Japantown and Hayes Valley are in walking distance and any other neighborhood are just a $10 cab ride away. I definitely recommend to stay with David and Chan when you are in San Francisco!

  • My stay in San Francisco was perfect. Having lived there before, the location was perfect and close to so many places - literally within walking distance. We had a car and the parking situation was great too. Chan was out of town at the time of our stay, but David was a perfect host. The apartment was cozy, clean and as promised in the pictures. Thank you guys for a great accommodation.

  • We enjoyed a propper and nice private room, good placed in central San Francisco.

It was fun to share travel experiences with David (he's very friendly and open minded), even if we haven't seen each other often.

Thanks to David for his hospitality and the very late night welcome!

About
I am from China and studied law in BU which is where I met David. I am a big foodie, loves to cook, am adventurous, and enjoys travel as much as David does but not as much as he did :( I like the way of traveling back roads and meeting great local people where ever I go. I am working in San Francisco and an attorney in both China and U.S. David sees himself a corporate refugee reinventing himself all of the time. After he left corporate in 2006 he finally traveled like he wanted and spent a number of months in Guatemala. Finished an MBA in 2008 and started and sold a small construction company. 2009 was another year of experience and he was able to volunteer in Kenya for 3 months as he works to develop a career in Social Enterprise Development. He is back from Nairobi and met some amazing people at all levels of the economic strata. He is really a believer of all people are good and enjoyed his work immensely. As a result of his volunteer work in Kenya during 2010 I started (website hidden) and have helped a few other non-profits in the community.
