About This Listing
The flats were created out of the restoration of an old abandoned stable situated in the centre of a small countryside hamlet called Sanguineto. This place takes its name from the famous bloody battle of 217 BC fought between the Roman army and the Carthaginian army (led by Hannibal). Today this area is classified as one of outstanding natural beauty, where traditional farming methods are still very much in evidence, the major crops being olives and wine grapes. The apartments have been luxuriously finished using traditional building methods and materials combined with the latest technology. Each apartment has its own independent liquid propane gas (LPG) central-heating system, with the boiler located outside the building, as well as its own electricity. A large balcony and veranda, and a private garden giving out onto the surrounding landscape, offering a magnificent view over Lake Trasimeno, complete the building. An apartment with a living room with kitchenette, one or two double bedrooms, one or two bathrooms, and terrace. Swimming-pool.

Me and my family really enjoyed our one week stay at Michele's place. The apartment was easy to find and with a great view. During the hot daytime it was perfect to relax at the poolside. The location enabled to make easily daytrips to Cortona, Perugia, Siena, etc.
I can really recommend to stay there!
This was a great home base for me and my family for a week. The unit/rooms themselves were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The wifi worked well. The pool was great!
Only two not positive aspects....
-lack of communication on our arrival. No one there to meet us and no indication of which unit we were in. ABout 20 minutes later, the woman who runs the b&b next door figured it our for us.
-The unit (#3) was in between two others, and the German's next door were very loud. Just be aware that this is a possability...living closly with other vacationers during your stay.Besides taht, the location was great. We took a day trip to Rome, and toured the area, and just hung around at the pool.
This is a lovely place to stay. About 40 minutes drive from Perugia and you definitely need a car. There are 5 (I think it was 5) apartments/chalets, each with their own private covered verandah and a small lawn with sun loungers for each of the chalets. It is quite basic but clean and the bed linen and towels were nice. The sheets were ironed cotton. The hot water was a little bit erratic at times. It would be a downside if your next door guests were noisy - ours weren't so it was fine. The view is fabulous. The pool is nice - not huge (probably about 10 metres long) but clean and nicely kept. Make sure you have Michele's phone number when you arrive. When we got there, there was no-one around and it was a little confusing But when things were sorted, we were given a warm welcome.
We had a great time in this place. The view is fantastic, the people are really freindly and there was nothing missing.
The Wifi also worked great, first time in our trip.
This was an amazing place to stay. The apartment overlooks the beautiful farm, the town of Tuoro, and lake Trasemeno. Me and my family were there for six days, taking day trips to surrounding hill towns throughout the week. Michele's family were very nice and extremely accommodating. The apartment is very nice and very clean. We did a lot of our own cooking in the apartment, and it is setup perfectly for that. The olive oil and wine made on the farm is delicious.
Nothing bad to say! This week was the highlight of our trip to Italy, and the location of this apartment is perfect for taking trips to the other hill towns. I hope to come back some day.
