My cabin is close to great views, family-friendly activities, and restaurants and dining. You’ll love my second home because of my loving care and the privacy on 56 undeveloped acres, still 7-10 miles from downtown, 2 miles to Cohutta Mountain trails, 25 minutes to Ocoee River rafting, the location, the views, the ambiance. The cabin is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and dogs. If you are primary guest aged 25 or younger, we will need to talk.

Very unprofessional host and never responded to my emergency calls and text from not being able to get in since she never gave me the code. Then the next day she argued she did until I sent all viable communication records. After this she said that the pipes were frozen and it’…

Small issue with the code to check in but was resolved within an hour after getting ahold of Maddison. Other than that the stay was great! Location is hard to beat (20min drive into downtown blue ridge). My fwd Accord made it through all the cabin roads just fine (including the…

We had a very lovely stay at this cabin. Easily navigated to by Siri (iPhone map app) the property is located at the end of a lightly populated road. It is private & quiet, seemingly remote while still close to Blue Ridge and area attractions. The space is cozy and well maintaine…

We loved our time at Barbara's cabin. It was easy to find and offered a good amount of privacy. We had no problems driving on her road or driveway with our car. There was a problem at arrival, but it was immediately fixed and Madison (local contact) went above and beyond to make …

Barbara's cabin was beautiful!! It was perfect for my sister, two nieces and I. It's on the top of a hill with a spectacular view! It's quiet, peaceful and private. The inside was not cluttered and was naturally beautiful with a log cabin look and feel. You could smell the natu…

Call of the Wild is a beautiful home in a peaceful setting. We absolutely fell in love with Lake Blue Ridge and definitely suggest the boat rental splurge, as well as at least one visit to Mercier Orchards. (Heads up on the Orchards, there is basically a general store complete wi…

Response from Barbara:
For those concerned about the "rules," they actually are guidelines, as this guest has mentioned. If you know how everything operates, I have a half page of "rules" to keep my cabin nice, and we can skip all the recommendations that are part of those pages. I paid $1000 on air conditioning just before this guest came. Something electrical was creating the need to shut off the breaker and turn it back on at a/c. Had they done so, as we advised, the ac would have worked again right away. I am looking further into the matter, but I have heard nothing since on issues with the a/c, nothing ever on problems with the grill (including while the guests were here), nothing ever on an odor at the hot tub. If you open windows and take down the screens (!), bugs will get in. That is true, in the summer, any place I've ever stayed or lived. The downstairs master is completely private, for those seeking greater intimacy at all hours.

I could not live without my dogs, Netflix, my spiritual teaching, my cabin, and my beach condo. My favorite destinations have been Cape Town; Istanbul; Cusco, Peru; Easter Island; and NYC theater district. I have a representative in the area for any last minute issues. Otherwi…
