Far from the tourist traps of Bali and located in a lush garden overlooking the rice fields. Truly a slice of paradise to get away from it all.

We are located in a small village pretty untouched by tourism. Restaurants and shopping can be reached by car/motorbike.

On site we have our small restaurant for all meals.

Absolutely amazing. They even have a own "restaurant" there, where they serve delicious food. However, that was slightly expensive... Delicious breakfast! Super nice host. But I cannot recommend going there when you want to use the internet. It never worked....

Totally recommended! The villa and the landscape are amazing. The infinity pool has really great views to the rice fields. Kedek prepared us the best food that we have proved so far in our trip ( you must try). He also drove us until Ubud stoping in different places and explaining us interesting things for a fair price

What a pearl in Bali is this bungalow! We had an amazing time at Kubu Carik. The views are endless and its so piecefull at the property. The location is in the middle of small local villages with smiling kids when you pass by. A must to experience real Bali away from all the crowded places. The cooking class was great and visiting the market with Kadek was a beautiful experience. Love your awareness about plastic waste, by using sustainable steel straws and making most of your food yourself. Definetely coming back!!!!

We were there as a couple + our two young kids. Claudia and Kadek are great and caring hosts, it was so relaxing to be in their hands! Their place is amazing, perfectly integrated with the nature all around, with great views across the rice fields, a beautiful garden full of flowers, trees and many things Kadek will use in his cooking. There are just two rooms for guests (each with own balcony and private space) so it feels very personal and "cosy". There is a nice pool as well as shown in the photos. There are several dogs, numerous cats, birds, for animal lovers such as us (and our kids) this is paradise. Kadek's cooking is really excellent. It's a bit remote but this is why you come here. And there are many things to do in the area : Tirta Gangga temple (you can walk there from the house through the rice fields), walk to Pura Lepuyang in the mountains, cooking lesson (including trip to the market) with Kadek, day at the beach/ snorkeling in Amed area or Pasir Putih, Taman Ujung, numerous walks to do, Gunung Agung, Besakih is also within reach, or just relaxing by looking at the rice fields from the pool or your bed/ balcony... and far fewer tourists in the area than in most of Bali (from what we have seen). This kind of place and experience is the reason why I love Airbnb. Thank you Claudia and Kadek for this wonderful stay and for keeping the place as it is

We cannot thank Claudia and Kadek enough for our wonderful stay in their guest house. It felt like a truly unique experience, away from the hustle and bustle of more touristy areas of Bali. The location is spectacular with a view over the rice fields. We really enjoyed evenings on the dining area that looks out onto the garden, finding out more about the interesting lives of our hosts. Claudia and Kadek, along with their staff, were so welcoming and helpful in every respect. Kadek's cooking is amazing and a proper taste of Balinese cuisine! We enjoyed our drives with Kadek as he shared so much of his knowledge about the area and all the different village traditions and crops they grow - we even had a stop off to pick some snake fruit! During our time here we successfully attempted the ascent of Mount Agung (3000m) which was an incredible experience - would recommend to anyone of decent fitness wanting a challenge and unbelievable views ! Kadek very kindly waited in the car over night after dropping us off at 1am and took us home again in the morning - our saviour. (Must note for readers this meant staying in his car from 1am until we reappeared finally at the bottom at 10am!) We would love to come back to this little corner of paradise in future Brief con: - not for you if you do want more 'hustle and bustle' / touristy / western food / more guests etc. But we would implore you to give this a try as you won't be disappointed!

Kubu Carik is an ideal paradise. I had such a great time, the place is incredibly beautiful, and the room was super comfortable and spacious. Kadek's food is so delicious, it's worth staying here just for the Meals. :) I loved the infinity pool overlooking rice fields, being able to walk down and through the rice fields for a short hike to tirta Ganga, and seeing how all the local crops and plants are grown. Kadek was super sweet and helpful during my stay. I didn't meet Claudia but she was very kind in always responding to my many questions (since I was traveling alone) on Airbnb before and after my booking. Thank you for such a perfect time in Bali!
