Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Clean house, spacious, odd flow which made for not a very cozy feel, but the beds were comfortable and the kitchen ample.
while great to be so close to the very special Elfin Forest, location demanded that we needed to hop in the car for everything we needed or wanted to do. there also wasn't a nice outdoor place to sit at the house even though there was a sizable back yard.

  • The house is awesome. It is exactly as advertised. Book with confidence. Heating works perfectly (and I can confirm that they fixed some minor complain a prior reviewer mentioned about a window not closing). The location is great. We enjoyed our stay, and we would love to visit again. The hosts were very easy to reach and very helpful.

  • Kim and Rob opened up their home to me and a few friends who were all racing a 25k in Los Osos. Their cute cottage was the perfect place to rest our head pre and post race. Kim was super responsive and her neighbors were also very friendly. It was the perfect location and a warm and cozy home to gather friends together for a great weekend. Also, loved the turquoise accents. Thank you both for sharing your home to us!

  • This house is in a great location right next to the Elfin forest. We enjoyed walking along the trails and enjoyed the views. The down side to the house was that it did not have central heat and the louvered window in the living room was stuck open.
The nights were a little chilly. We discovered a room heater the second day that was helpful.
The kitchen has minimal utensils and the faucet in the tub was very difficult to adjust the temperature on. My first shower was cold!
The back yard was a nice size, but was just loose dirt. We chose this house because of the yard and being dog friendly, but we did not use the yard because we didn't want the dog to track in the dirt.
We also were not aware that there is a full time tenant that lives in the front of the house. This was not really a problem as we had no interaction with them, but it was a surprise!

  • Our two families enjoyed our stay at the Casa de Osos Bayside Charmer. The house was comfortable for the 8 of us. The nearrby Elfin Forest trail was a nice surprise and we enjoyed the beautiful hike and learning about history of the area. We were also able to explore a little of downtown SLO in between our daughters' gymnastics meets which is what brought us to the area.

  • Awesome place -- clean and quiet with lots of room for the dogs to run around in the backyard. A great getaway location for Central Coast fun. Five minutes from Morro Bay, fifteen from SLO. Highly recommended if you plan to visit the area and are in need of a quaint, cozy place to stay. Owners are very responsive and will take care of you.

  • Casa de Osos is another ABNB gem not to be missed if you are heading to the central coast. You can hear the sounds of the bay at night, the boats and the birds. Trails are at your doorstep to lead you to a forest of miniature oaks and water sunsets/sunrises. Kim and Rob made the coziest beach bungalow with skylights and a giant tub. There are restaurants, farmers markets and kayaking within walking distance, surfing and wineries10-15 mins away, and San Luis Obispo in bicycling distance with stunning views along the way!

  • Due to a change of plans for a weekend trip, I needed to find last minute accommodations to make a Central Coast getaway work. I found this rental on Airbnb and contacted the hosts to see if they could accommodate a group of 5 of us for a night, and Kim quickly responded to my email to work something out. She kept in constant contact with me to see what we needed for our weekend and got us squared away very quickly.
The house was exactly what our group needed: a clean, fully stocked (bed linens, bath towels, kitchen essentials) home away from home for the weekend. Cozy beds, comfy sofas, and a nice living room complete with an HDTV and connected Roku interface for Netflix, HBO Go, etc. made this the perfect place to relax with friends. And to top it all off...the bathroom has a shower/tub that's directly underneath a skylight! Overall, a great place to spend a weekend getaway!

We are teachers who LOVE to get away from it all. While we are at home in LA, the allure of the central coast is too much for us to resist. It truly makes us happy to know that others can also enjoy the peace and relaxation we feel every time we open the front door of Casa de Osos. Our motto is stolen from a very popular shoe company and to avoid legal trouble we will not disclose it here. Suffice it to say, we like to go do things. Swiftly. When we are not spending time at Casa de Osos, we are traveling or spending time with friends and family.
