About this listing
Again, looking to the right. The doorway here leads out to the hall. A curtain will also be hung at this doorway.
Hi! Please see my other listing "Priv Room in Englewood, NJ--Say Hi to NY!" I had so much demand on AirBNB for my spare bedroom that I decided to open up my living room to budget-conscious travelers looking for a clean, cozy, comfortable stay close to Manhattan but without the expense!
And to be accurate--you have much more than a sofa! You will have use of the entire living room, which is outfitted with a 42" flat screen TV with Roku and local channels, and 50mps high-speed internet. You would share the condo with me and one other tenant, plus the cat (=^-^=). I sleep in one bedroom, the other tenant sleeps in the other bedroom, and the cat pretty much sleeps wherever he wants--so you have to be OK with that.
The dimensions of the LR are quite spacious--13' x 9 '. A mirror-paneled wardrobe is at your convenience for clothing storage, and heavy light-blocking curtains at each door provide privacy.
There are LOTS of transit options nearby. I am about 15 minutes away from the George Washington Bridge on the NJ Transit bus lines (either 186 or 178). There is also express bus service available to the Lincoln Tunnel on the 166 bus line during rush hours (local other times). I am also conveniently located to most major NYC Metro area highways (including I95 and Route 4), and Newark Liberty International Airport is about one-half hour away.
I am also blocks away from the heart of Englewood, which boasts many unique shops and boutiques, as well as world class restaurants featuring mouth-watering cuisines from around the world. Englewood Hospital is within walking distance, so this is a perfect option for those who might need a place to stay while relocating to the area in order to take a position at the Hospital.
Who should consider renting this space? Someone who is a fairly heavy sleeper and won't mind hearing occasional noise in the kitchen. Someone who likes cats. Someone who is coming to the area and needs a clean, comfortable place to stay for a short while. Vegetarian/vegan and/or cupcake lover a plus : ) !
Hope to see you soon!
Living Room (sleeping area), kitchen, bathroom.
Interaction with Guests
I am open and friendly, however I am very respectful of privacy and personal space. I work in NYC so I am gone for most of the day, however my roommate (who is an actor) may be home on and off during the day.
Please see my full listing. In general, you should be capable of mature, responsible behavior when you share my space. This includes being attentive to your fellow roommates (of whom I am one!) with respect to such things as noise, cleanliness, and common courtesy. If you cook, clean up after yourself right away. When you are done using the shower, rinse out the tub right away. Don't leave clothing, trash, or personal items lying around. Be nice to my cat. If you cook, share your good food. Do nice things for everyone. ^_^
Comfy living room, for your short-term use! The doorway to the left leads into the kitchen. I will hang a curtain here to give you privacy. But for now, lots of sun!
Diane was a wondeful and so sweet "host". I was the feeling that i was in my home... A Beautiful and generous person. I'll come back! Thanks Diane for all.
Je vous conseille! Bien situé dans une ville où il fait bon de terminer ses journées de marches et découvertes de NY. Merci Diane!

The place got the job done for me. Just needed a place to crash and the couch was really comfortable. Slept real well.
Diane was an exceptional host. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating. She's also a very good cook and baker. The neighborhood has all you need, grocery stores and restaurants etc, as well as close to several bus lines. I didn't want to leave, and I will definitely come back!

About the Host, Diane
Quiet, mature, professional female who is happy to provide cozy and inexpensive lodging to people traveling to or doing business in the NYC metro area. I am clean and happy and enjoy cooking, arts, culture, poetry, and overall educational/ philosophical pursuits. I have done a good deal of traveling in the past, but...that was before the current economic turmoil so my passport hasn't gotten a lot of action as of late : ( . However, I am hoping to also make some new friends by using this service and so hopefully my passport will have wings again before too long!
Life is too short for BS! One day at a time...and to thine own self be true.
