Nestled in a quiet corner in the heart of Rome, Orso apartment is ideally placed for discovering Rome. It is composed by a double bedroom, a living room, a kitchen with dining area, a bathroom with shower and a very nice terrace. Suitable for 2 people.

The space

Step into my stylish central den of delights and fall in love with living Roman life! I’m lucky enough to be on 60 sqm of ground floor space in a darling building less than 5 min down the cobbled street from the majestic magic of Piazza Navona and I can’t think of a better spot to welcome you to my city. If you want to feel history at your feet, soak in art, architecture, and ambience, then you’ve come to the right place.

Like anyone else, I couldn’t live without modern comforts, but I am enamored with the location as much as the exposed brick arch and other similar “kisses of character*(see note!) that I feel truly evoke the energy of the area. Simplistic yet classic, with touches of art and richly bright tones entwining with neutral ones, my lodging provides comfort and functionality equipped with every amenity guests need to feel truly at home when in Rome.

On the ground floor of my bi-level apartment is the true gem I savor; the terrace that beckons me every spare moment of every plentiful fair weather day. Every sort of delicious aperitivo buffet is within short walking distance of my home, from Trastevere to Campo and back, but I can’t get enough of snacking and dining on my own terrace and working with the variety of ingredients available here.
Not only am I in the midst of many small chain supermarkets, artisan delis, wine shops, and food specialty stores, the morning farmer’s market at Campo de’ Fiori is just across the road from Piazza Navona and an excellent source of fresh produce, as well as souvenir trinkets and general drinking/dining options.
My full kitchen satisfies all feeding needs at any time of night or day they need to be met!
Equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, and kettle, this kitchen does everything but wash dishes by itself, and the dining room is a comfortable place to snack or not let a rainy day rain on your homemade buffet.
Of course there’s a living room to relax in, and the bedroom with a double bed is upstairs with its en suite bathroom; no stumbling down the steps at night in search of a toilet makes my Orso a most convenient accommodation in more ways than 1! Of course the essentials like a/c, tv, and internet are here, along with a washing machine; that’s just standard in my mind.

Aside from Piazza Navona and the Campo area, the Pantheon is also spitting distance and a sight not to be missed. Amazing in its preservation, the Pantheon is a reminder of Rome’s actual age, amidst the mix of Baroque beauty, Renaissance romance, and hodgepodge of historical epochs that make up the center of town.
The Spanish Steps along with their metro stop (the A Line-connects you to Termini station and the B Line train, or is a direct route to Saint Peter’s, the Vatican, and more) are within close walking distance and fashionistas will fall in love with the style that literally soaks the area. The Trevi fountain is amazingly close so living the legend and ensuring your return to the Eternal City is walking distance from my door.
As walkable as the historic center is, even with Saint Peter’s at less than 2km away and the metro almost right here, there are more buses than can be counted and a tram not too far away as well.

The food in this neighborhood, as is true for most of the city, is to die for and almost every winding street is full of tasty treats and decadent eats, and you can always stroll over to Trastevere for a change of scene and some TRULY authentic cuisine.
I feel like my location really gives me an opportunity to make the most of my home when here, and I think you’ll be able to enjoy it too and embrace the scene surrounding you.

If you arrive before the check-in time or you depart after check-out time, the best option is a luggage storage, very close to my apartment, open 9:00am-7:00pm, it’s called Stow your bags, Via dei Chiavari, 8.

Valeria's space was wonderful from beginning to end. We were greeted at check-in by a friend who answered some of our questions about getting around. It turned out to be so centrally located we ended up not even using public transit our entire trip. The bedroom is spacious and there is lots of living area. We were impressed with how well we slept, both from how comfortable the bed was and how quiet the street was. As three days wasn't a long enough trip to explore all of Rome, if and when we return, we'll definitely look into staying here again!

Great authentic home in superb location! One morning I went out to the street when the guide, carrying tourists, was pointing to the apartment door and saying 'this is very old part of Rome'! If you want to feel for at least few days how Roman life should look like, I strongly recommend to consider Valeria's home. Thank you very much, Valeria, for the opportunity to have such experience!

Consigliato
