This apartment is in the heart of historic downtown Cartersville! We offer a comfortable home base for travelers, families and couples, just steps away from all the shops, restaurants, and weekend activities our downtown has to offer! This spacious two bedroom is perfect for couples or families. A spacious living room with a fully functional kitchen separates the two bedrooms, with each room having its own smart TV. Only 5 miles from Lakepoint, and a 7 minute walk to the Booth Museum!

The space
Our building dates from the mid 19th century with The Jerks, a Victorian-themed old fashioned soda fountain and a lovely children’s boutique on the main floor. An extensive restoration was completed in January 2025, saving the original cast iron storefront, repointing all brick, and updating all electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to modern standards and code. Above the commercial space is a trio of apartments we call Pieds-â-Terre: each with similar amenities, they differ only in size depending on your needs. These apartments are accessed via a private stairwell leading upstairs.

Important to Note:
**Please note that this building is close to the train tracks, and you will definitely hear the train. However, we are now in a 'Quiet Zone', which means air horns are very rare. You may hear the rumble of the train and the bells at the crossing when they come through.
**It is also above a family friendly soda shoppe, which, depending on the day and time of year, may close at 9 or 10pm. Every attempt at sound-canceling has been done with the flooring and construction, but it is possible you may hear sounds from below. The hallway is more noticeable, but within the apartments the sound is minimal and muted.

Each apartment has its own full kitchen, washer/dryer, king size bed(s), and 65" smart TV's in every living room and bedroom. Internet access is via our city's fiber-optic network, which is only available to downtown businesses, and guests access it via a dedicated wi-fi mesh network. Each kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to microwave a quick bite, make a pot of coffee, or cook a cozy meal for yourself. The two-door refrigerators have filtered water and ice dispensers in the door, stoves feature induction cook-tops and full size ovens, and each unit has a full size dishwasher.

A spacious living area with fully functional kitchen divides the two bedrooms. Each bedroom and the living area have their own 65 inch smart TV - and all TVs are set up with automatic guest log-out of all your streaming accounts on the day you check out. The front bedroom faces downtown, and has lots of natural light when the Roman shades are pulled up. It has a detached bathroom.

The back bedroom faces the back of the building and has an egress to a shared, sunny deck. The washer/dryer is in this bedroom. A bathroom is private to this bedroom, with a separate deep tub from a shower.

This apartment is best suited for two couples, or a family where the child/children share a bed in the second bedroom. There is a four guest maximum, as there are only two beds and no other sleeping arrangements. It is not child-proof or suitable for young children.

We have tried to be as thoughtful as possible, providing details like extra towels and blankets, locally roasted coffee, spices and seasonings, etc. Please let us know if there is anything else that would make your stay more comfortable on the white board provided on your fridge - we are new hosts and appreciate your feedback!

Justin is a Cartersville native, and we both live and work just blocks from Historic Downtown Cartersville. We love history and adore our town. It was important to us to invest in the restoration of some of its oldest buildings, one of which is the 1850s era building where The Jerks Soda Fountain and the AirBnBs are located. Our favorite places to frequent are the Booth Museum and the many festivals we get to enjoy here!
