About This Listing
We offer a comfortable double bedroom, a bright kitchen and breakfast laid out for you in our eclectic arty home. Right next to the Guinness Hops store and ChristChurch, a quick 20 minutes walk will get you pretty much everywhere in the city centre.
We are Ayelet and Steve, a sculptor and a graphic designer. We've enjoyed travelling, and keep bringing things home with us. Our house is a labour of love and is filled with interesting artistic pieces (her) and some robocop and Alien figures (him).
We have a two bedroom, two storey house, with a small back yard and a green side garden, a real sun spot in summer. There is a shared shower and toilet downstairs, along with the sitting room and kitchen.
We are more than happy to help you find interesting places to go in Dublin, places to eat, activities, etc, including local spots that we love like the best place to get great selection of Irish beers, hear local bands, or a great brunch on the weekend.
Bedlinen and towels are included, as well as breakfast which includes cereal, toast, fruit and coffee. It is help yourself, but it will be laid out for you whenever you get up so you can take your time. Also included are free Wifi and heating, and shampoo, conditioner and shower-gel, so you can travel a little lighter.
When you are booking PLEASE make sure your profile includes a photo and some info about yourselves. We want to know a little about who is coming to staying in our home, and saves us having to ask for it later.
Cheers, and we look forward to meeting you......
Guests have access to the whole house with the exception of our bedroom.
Interaction with Guests
We want you to feel comfortable, but please remember this is our our house, and we'll be here too. We'll probably chat to you over breakfast at some stage, as well as when you arrive of course.
We like to meet our guests, and can help steer them towards places of interest in Dublin city, should you ask. We've compiled a list of places we like to go, markets, bars, restaurants, etc and a map for you to take away, as well as a selection of touristy things if you'd prefer. The Guinness Brewery is a few minutes walk away ( you can see the bar at the top from our kitchen), Christchurch and St.Patricks Cathedrals are about 20 minutes, and downtown bars and restaurants about 25 minutes walk. Everything is accessable and on your doorstep.
We live in a residential area so there are shops, a launderette, hairdresser and a pharmacy. A ten minute walk will get you to some good bars and cafes, and a 25 minute walk will get you into the city centre, bars, restaurants, music, etc, etc. Dublin is a small city so everything is very close and walkable.
The coast isn' t too far either, travelling to Dun-laoghaire or Howth on the Dart for walks or to indulge in the yummy Sunday food market are great ways to spend a sunny day. or with a car the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains are only 40 minutes away for hiking or sightseeing.
The bus stop is a minute away and all buses go into the city centre. The Luas (tram) stop is about 8 minutes away bringing you into the city centre as well as to the main train and bus stations, or the O2 music venue.
Other Things to Note
You will get your own house key so you can come and go as you please. There is a deposit for the keys, returnable when you leave.

We are pretty flexible with check-in times, although if possible we try to keep Friday check-in after 4pm, and Monday before 11 am. You are more than welcome to store your bags during the day at either end though.
We look forward to meeting you.......
There is no smoking in the house, but feel free to go out the back yard to smoke, where there is also an outside light.
We're sorry but no additional guests are allowed back to the house.
A €50 deposit is required for the keys, which is given back when you return them.
Ayelet e Steve sono stati davvero gentilissi! La casa e' molto carina, non molto lontanta dal centro, e i loro consigli su Dublino sono stati apprezzatissimi.
Consiglio senza alcun dubbio di sostare da Ayelet and Steve.
Ayelet and Steve are very welcoming and super helpful. I´d definitely recommend staying with them. We loved their breakfast! From their lovely home its just a 15 min walk to the city.
Ayelet and Steve were excellent hosts! Even though our flight was delayed which meant we got in after midnight, Steve was still welcoming when we woke him up to enter. They provided a lovely breakfast and great conversation. When we told them that we were cold on the first night, they explained that it's because the heating was on a timer and the next night they had left us a hot water bottle in bed, changed the timer for the heating and left extra blankets on our bed! Really lovely couple and excellent hosts.
Ayelet and Steve are the perfect hosts! They were super accommodating to our check-in and check-out times and made us feel right at home. In addition to the delicious breakfast each morning, we had great conversation and loved the feel of their warm and beautiful home. If they weren't available to communicate face to face, they made sure to leave adorable notes telling us where the milk was or when they would be back, which we greatly appreciated. If we ever need a place to stay in Dublin again, Ayelet and Steve's artistic oasis will be our first choice. Thanks y'all!
PS the wifi is super fast!

Fun lively bar, huge covered smoking area, above L'Gueuleton restuarant. There is no sign outside this bar so go take the stairs underneath the snail hanging on the wall
Fabulous margueritas, and their tobacco cocktail is pretty amazing too. Funky New York style bar / restaurant although the staff can be a bit rude, but maybe thats the New York thing?
Food market every Saturday in meeting house square.
Chilled bar with huge selection of Irish micro brewery beers and ales, as well as internatonal ones. Also serves food, and has board games to play.
