The Space

Take over our lovely apartment in the sky, full of bright windows and featuring a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the hills of Marin.

You'll be located just a few blocks from breathtaking hikes in Land's End and walks in Golden Gate Park, home of the de Young Museum, the California Academy of Sciences and the Japanese Tea Gardens. Also enjoy short walks to Baker Beach, China Beach and Sunset Beach. The views of the sunset from Sunset Beach and from the cliffs of Land's End simply can not be beat. Our neighborhood is also famous for its authentic Asian food, and you can't miss the omelets at Joe's Coffee Shop, which I am convinced is the best diner in the world. And if gawking at mansions is something you enjoy, you'll be glad to know that Seacliff is just 3 blocks away. ;)

The Richmond has a reputation for being foggy, but we've found that most people who say that don't live here. It may be that we came to San Francisco from New England, but it's a sun-drenched paradise in our eyes. And to accomodate all that sun, you'll be glad to know that the apartment has windows even in its closets.

The Richmond is a quiet and safe neighborhood, too, and while it's not home to hipsters, it's the place to be for breathtaking views, unbeatable hikes and great Asian food. It's also super safe. Getting into town is a straight ride down Geary on the 39 bus.

Amenities:
- If you stay longer than 3 days, you can have our freshly painted, safe garage all to yourself
- Reliable wifi!

Caveats:
We don't have a TV and there is no laundry on-site, though the laundromat is 4 blocks away and pretty lovely and cheap, honestly.

Bonus:
We will be on the other side of the country while you're here, so your stay will be uninterrupted.

  • Lindsey is wonderful. The location is close to a bus stop which makes getting around the city without a car perfect. The apartment was clean and looks exactly like the picture posted.

  • The apartment here was perfect for what my friend and I wanted. It has a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge, it's in a quiet neighborhood, and it was super clean. Lindsey placed cute post-it notes around the place to let us know about certain things. The apartment is close enough where I took a lovely walk to Baker Beach and another day I ran a quick 5k to Lands End. Overall, this was a great apartment and I would definitely recommend it. Lindsey was also a terrific host and always stayed in communication.

  • Lovely apartment, gorgeous expansive view all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge. Very comfortable, we were made to feel very welcome. Easy public transport although it was a 45 min bus trip into town. (We had no car on this trip). Lands End was ten minutes away which was an unexpected delight.

  • Lindsey's apartment is amazing - great location and the best bed I've ever slept in! The interior is really nicely done and there's a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the bedroom. Lindsey had even left out a bottle of wine, water and snacks for us! Very highly recommended.

  • It was really nice stay with great veiw.
Imagine that sleep with and wake up with Golden Gate Bridege view.
Lindsey is really flexible to every changes in our itinerary.
The house is quite cozy and clean.
Every furnitures and small things are amazing to use.
I love that sofa in the dining place.
It's quite better than expressed in the post.
Especially, you can say hello to a fun resident (Puck, a little dragon).

The reason for 4 start rather than 5 stars :
    - Due to the age of apt., the window is not good enough to give us quiet and warm night to sleep
    - Parking lot was little tricky for new visitor to use
    - Air bed is air bed. (But the main bed is really cool)

I strongly recommend this house for a couple to stay at SF city or a family with little bit grown up kids who doesn't care about sleeping in the situation like "little noisy, little cold, and on an air bed."

About
I just got married. I grow lettuces on the fire escape. I create pieces of software for a living. I grew up in Ohio. I went to UNC-Chapel Hill and studied environmental engineering in the context of international aid. My first job was in South Africa, and then DC, then Boston, now San Francisco. I raised money to start my first company while I was in DC, and I haven't looked back since, though sometimes I wish I had a normal job. The grass is always greener, etc. My husband is smart and stable and hilarious. My favorite thing about him is that he's hilarious. Also a good cook. At various points I became a registered yoga teacher and holistic nutritionist (though I do neither for a living), and I sometimes go on new age spirituality binges involving numerology, crystals and tarot cards. Patrick (my husband) makes fun of me at these points, and I deserve it. Mostly.
