About this listing
Thanks for checking out the Sweet Mini-Suite at RiverSea West! We take great pleasure in creating a space for you to relax, explore and recharge at our tranquil acre in the Redwoods.
Surrounded by nature, with a private entrance, private bathroom, comfy queen bed and kitchenette, the guest room at RiverSea is a simple, comfortable and nurturing space from which to unwind from the stresses and busyness of everyday life.
Walk 15 minutes to the Russian River. Drive 20 minutes to stunning Sonoma County beaches or renowned Sonoma wineries. Enjoy the incredible hiking, biking, scenic drives & boutique shopping nearby.
Or simply relax... We're located on a sunny acre in the redwood forest with private access to Hulbert Creek, a fairy ring of 200-ft redwoods complete with a hammock, a hot tub under the stars, and much more...
Our guest room is at the far end of the main house where we live. It has a comfortable queen-sized bed, its own bathroom and a private, exterior entrance. The wood-paneled room is light and airy and has a mini-fridge and coffee maker. Tranquil, without phones or TV (but with wi-fi), we have plenty of good books & an extensive movie collection. A perfect all-season retreat for two!
“We work and live around an adrenaline filled, mezzo forte, presto-paced world everyday. Your enchanted forest has cleansed our mind, our spirit and our senses…” P&G
“All you need is love...and a beautiful place to stay like this…” M&C
“Great! Inspiring, peaceful, wonderful…” JR
Enjoy the numerous sitting areas sprinkled about the property. Take a nap in the hammock strung between two of the redwood trees in the fairy-ring circle. Skip stones in the creek (season willing) or walk the dry creek bed to the Russian River. Partake of the seasonal herbs, berries and vegies in the gardens. Or have a barbeque in the shared BBQ area.
The hot tub is located behind the main house and is shared between guests in the guest room and the cottage. However, it is well-screened for a private experience.
Interaction with guests
We're happy to give insider tips to the area and are available to our guests as needed and desired.
We follow our guests lead as far as how much contact they would like with us during their stay.
Take the neighborhood 2-mile loop walk with three half-way point detours: the Garden Grill Restaurant (outrageously good breakfasts, burgers & sandwiches served up on a dog friendly, plant studded, heated outdoor patio); Noodles, Rice, etc (our yummy Chinese restaurant), and a couple of local beach access points to the Russian River.
(Or ask us about the secret neighborhood hike to the "Ghost Corral".)
Plus the village of Guerneville--with all its shops, cafes and people watching--is a flat two mile (one way) walk from home.
And once you reserve, we'll share a link with you to

Public transportation is possible, but definitely not easy. Bicycle rentals are available; but the area is probably best enjoyed by automobile. (Our area is 90 minutes to 2.5 hours, traffic-depending from either SFO or Oakland International airport.)
