About this listing
Spacious, ground level apartment complete with full, updated kitchen and bath with bamboo floors. The queen size bed is partially separated from the living room with a breakfast counter. The living room has two daybeds. Sleeps 4.
This is a lovely, comfortable, immaculately clean apartment. It's on a large country lot, yet only about 4 miles from the center of Ithaca, Ithaca College, and Cornell University. The new modern kitchen has a full refrigerator, oven, stove, toaster, blender, coffee maker, dishes, and plenty of utensils and cookware.
No need to bring water as my well water is just as good.
The bathroom is as new and elegant as the kitchen with a full bath tub and shower. Both the kitchen and bathroom have bamboo floors.
I will leave coffee, tea, eggs and whole wheat bread so that you can make a healthy breakfast.
There's a queen size bed with good linens in the main bedroom and a single bed in the living room. Enjoy the high speed WIFI and cable TV.
I can help orient you and make recommendations for things to see and do. Upper Buttermilk Falls State Park is only about 2-3 miles away. Taughannock Park (said to be the highest waterfall east of the Rockies) is 8 miles from Ithaca, along Cayuga Lake.
You may want to try the wine trails, the Farmers' Markets, a boat ride on the lake, or enjoy the abundance of very talented musicians and other high quality arts and museums.
Coddington is a scenic, country road that leads straight into town.
Hope to see you!
All the best, Melissa
Very safe and peaceful neighborhood.
There is no public transit, unfortunately.
This is a quiet house, so we're looking for quiet, respectful people.
No smoking of course.
My partner and daughter stayed here and thought it was a beautiful, very clean and comfortable place to stay. The host was friendly and generous. Great location as well.
Melissa's apartment was great for our short trip to Ithaca. The apartment was as described and larger then I expected from seeing the pictures. It is well maintained and clean. Melissa was helpful in telling us about the surrounding area. Would recommend and stay again.
Melissa was very accommodating for us as we planned to stay with her. She was responsive and helpful with all our questions and needs. Unfortunately, we were traveling with two young children who were feeling quite homesick and wanting to return to see their puppy. As a result we had to cancel our stay. Maybe next time.
All of the excellent reviews we read about Melissa's cozy and immaculate studio apartment in Ithaca were accurate. We stayed for several days in Ithaca, New York and has a lovely time.
Melissa is an amazing host! She was kind and accommodating from the moment we drove up until she said goodbye. The studio is beautiful; quite possibly the nicest Airbnb I've ever seen. Everything was clean and newly renovated and the studio is tastefully decorated and furnished-it really felt like home. The kitchen was stocked with organic eggs, butter, bread, milk and coffee so that we could make breakfast in the morning. If I ever come back to Ithaca, I will definitely be staying here again.
Melissa was very accommodating to both myself and my friend. She gave the full tour upon arrival, and left us with plenty of tourism info. We were in Ithaca for a wedding, and the location was great. Downtown Ithaca was a short drive down the road. The apartment was clean with plenty of linens. The place was quite cool even with no air conditioning. Thanks for a great stay, Melissa!
I highly recommend this listing. Everything was exactly as advertised. The host, Melissa, was extremely responsive to all of our questions and made us feel welcome. We were scheduled to arrive late at night and had not used Airbnb before, but Melissa explained how to find the place (which was very easy) and answered all of our questions almost instantly. We would definitely look to stay at one of Melissa's listings should we be back in Ithaca in the future.

About the Host, Melissa
Quiet, clean, friendly, responsible, retired Cornell library supervisor and former massage therapist. I love singing, dance, yoga, natural foods, holistic health and am passionate about doing whatever I can to help save our environment. Are you willing to recycle and compost? It's easy!
I began hosting on Airbnb in the summer of 2013 and it has been a huge success. I have hosted about 200 people and can honestly say that each and every guest has been friendly, clean and considerate. I'm thrilled that people so enjoy the studio apartment, the 3 bedroom apartment and the guestroom in my spacious home. Having lived in Ithaca since 1970, I can offer you a few suggestions on restaurants and where go to see the waterfalls and gorges. Speaking of eating, it may be best to stock up on groceries or dine at a restaurant before
driving to my house. It's approximately 4 miles from Ithaca which is about a 10 minute drive.
I hope to see you here!
