Incredible value compared to a hotel. This extremely comfortable and beautifully appointed four-bedroom renovated colonial will be your home in the heart of Newport. Located in the General Business District, this home is steps to waterfront restaurants and marinas and a short stroll to Bellevue Avenue boutiques and mansion tours, beaches, the world-famous Cliff Walk, Goat Island, The International Tennis Hall of Fame, St Mary's Church, and the farmer's market. Your location couldn't be better.
You will have the entire home and complete privacy. Each of the four bedrooms are full bedrooms. You will delight in the spaciousness of this home -- unique in this famous downtown setting. Enjoy quality decor, floorboards throughout, luxurious linens, fluffy white towels, and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. To make things easy for our guests, the house comes fully accessorized with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper products, a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and a full washer and dryer.
It's the perfect place to come for a long weekend of harbor sunset cocktails and gourmet dining overlooking mega yachts, or for putting up family members during Reunions, Parents Weekends, Homecoming, and Graduations at Newport's Salve Regina University.
Many wedding parties choose this home as home base for weddings in Newport, and sailors love the convenience of this home for sailing events and the boat show, with the Newport Harbor only steps from the front door.
We have kept our pricing extremely reasonable for you. Discounts are offered for week-long or month-long stays. The rates through December, January, and February are steeply discounted. There is a four-night minimum for summer weekends.
You will not need a car while staying here. You will be so centrally located that you can walk almost anywhere. There is also a trolley car that drives continually around Newport and that can also take you to Middletown beaches. You can also rent and get around town by bike, scooter, moped, or scoot coupe. You can leave your car either around nearby Touro Park where there are no parking restrictions, or in either the public parking garage adjacent to the Visitor's Center or in the Mary Street Public Parking Lot.
There are two best ways to get to Newport from New York City. The fastest is to get Amtrak directly to (website hidden) Airport (PVD) and then Cozy Cab (runs out of Newport) runs a timed shuttle to Newport from the airport. They have a website. Or, you can take the train to Kingston, RI, and then get a public bus from Kingston to Newport. The closest airport if flying is T.F. Green Airport (PVD), and the next closest airport is Boston.

Karen was a fabulous host! She was extremely prompt and thorough in answering my questions prior to arrival. Following a tough winter for the NE, Karen kindly shoveled a path for us to make our way to the house off the main street and left the light on as we were arriving later in the evening. The house was immaculate and a perfect amount of room for our girls getaway weekend. It's in great walking proximity to downtown shops, restaurants, etc. I would definitely stay at this home again.
Karen is a gracious and attentive host. Guests feel welcomed and cared for. The house is charming, very comfortable, and well-equipped. The bedrooms are spacious. The location is fantastic! Everything is within walking distance.
Karen is very approachable and understanding! This home made my friends and I feel comfortable and at home.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this house! The location was perfect and the house was great! We found the house in great shape when we arrived and it was so convenient that sheets and towels were provided! We would definitely stay again!
Karen was amazing - very responsive and open to any requests we had. She even decorated the home for the holidays!
Karen was a wonderful host! We had an old fashioned Thanksgiving at the lovely in town location in Newport. The house was charming, comfortable, and large enough to to have groups separate and catch up. The Kitchen was a well equipped "cooking kitchen" away from the rest of the house and large enough to get a big meal ready in comfort.
Without TV or internet, we were delighted to play monopoly, charades, watch movies, and enjoy conversation. The four 20 somethings agreed!!!
Karen could not have been more gracious. I would highly recommend this host and property.
