There are two best ways to get to Newport from New York City. The fastest is to get Amtrak directly to T.F.Green Airport (PVD) and then Cozy Cab (runs out of Newport) runs a timed shuttle to Newport from the airport. They have a website. Or, you can take the train to Kingston, RI, and then get a public bus from Kingston to Newport. The closest airport if flying is T.F. Green Airport (PVD), and the next closest airport is Boston.

Karen's house is conveniently located in the center of town. If you're looking for a home-base for a weekend exploring Newport, this is perfect.
Karen's house was gorgeous and right in the center of everything in Newport. The rooms were clean and the size was perfect. What's more, Karen was a gracious host who was quick to respond to questions and take care of every need we had. Great place with a wonderful host!
My friends and I stayed at Karen's house for a post-holiday get together. First off, the location could not be better! We walked anywhere we wanted to go, and I imagine in the summer you could bike or walk even further than we did. Second, the house is just awesome. The pictures are exactly as the house appears. We had 8 people and were not on top of one another and had plenty of space to hang, cook, etc. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. We had everything we needed. There was even a Christmas tree up which added to the ambiance of the house and the town around the holidays. We will definitely be back! Karen was a pleasure to rent from and made everything very convenient and easy. Thanks, Karen!
Karen was very helpfull. The place is clean and in a very good location. Close to everything.
Karen's House in Newport, RI was exactly as described. We chose it to host a Thanksgiving Feast for our son who is in Navy OCS. It was spacious, the kitchen was large a well appointed. Also it is a very short walk to the downtown restaurants, shops and pubs yet it is a quiet setting. Great stay..Lovely!
As attentive and accommodating as a host could possibly be. The house was as perfect as advertised. This home should be the only option to stay whilst you are in Newport.
Karen was a fantastic host. Her home has everything you would need and is in the heart of everything!
We had the experience of a lifetime at Karen's wonderful house. My fiancée and I were married in Newport and Karen was gracious enough to accept our request to hold our (small) reception here. The house is charming, impeccably kept, and was perfectly located for us, near the downtown wharfs -- as we held our ceremony at sea! Karen went absolutely above and beyond normal duty as a host. Coordinating everything with her was easy. Her great professionalism instilled confidence in us that we made the right choice to work with her for such an important endeavor. We'll never forget our stay here. Thank you so much!
Karen was so easy to coordinate with. My friends and I weren't able to book the house for our original days so she was willing to help us out with so much! Besides being in the perfect location for Newport's Oktoberfest, the house was super clean and well decorated. Overall it was an ideal spot for a big group.
We rent houses all over the country when we travel with groups of friends. This was, by far, the best experience we have had! Karen was so responsive from the time I booked the home (about 45 days out) up until the minute I checked in. She made sure that everything was absolutely perfect for us, and it was! She even had the kitchen stocked with bread, nutella, coffee, milk, OJ, jams, etc. Karen was the most hospitable homeowner I have ever worked with!
The house is PERFECT for a stay in Newport. I hope to always stay here when I visit. Much better, more convenient, and comfortable than a hotel. The bedroom layout is perfect for four couples (we were there for a wedding) and with 2 and 1/2 bathroom, plenty of space for all. When we weren't out and about (because it's a short 2 - 10 block walk to ANYTHING in Newport!) we spent some time in the back garden which is a wonderful addition to the living space.
Couldn't have asked for a better, more centrally located home. We will definitely be back.
Thank you Karen!
